Get the desk first, everything else can wait, you need the space before you start buying stuff.

Holy batshit you got ripped on that PC if you're being serious about the price. You could have built a system with a 2600K at the center + probably GTX 590 maybe even 580 SLI at that price. Not hatin' or anything, just saying

Other than that not bad. The desk is not really my taste though. Tbh if you think you have the skills, build your own. Assuming you already have the basic tools needed you can get an AWESOME desk built for like $200-$250. If that fails, go around to local thrift stores. You'd be surprised at some of the gems that are hiding in there. I got mine at one for $40, and it's pretty damn nice (Ikea Jerker, not my pic but it's that desk set in that basic configuration)

Judging by the case it's a prebuilt PC right? HP if I'm not mistaken? Honestly I wouldn't even bother with getting another case for a prebuilt computer unless there's some kind of size restraint, like you want a graphics card that is too big for that case or something. No offense again but it just seems like trying to polish a turd, to put it bluntly.

Not good at building what, desks? Understandable. I'd probably make some half retarded looking desk.. no shame.

As for the case if you're just going to be adding a case fan that's hardly a reason to drop good money on a case imo. Unless it's pointed like RIGHT at something, case fans generally don't help THAT much. Not enough enough to justify a whole new case imo. And bluray? You have a PS3 for watching them, burning them might be a concern I guess though. As for USB ports not working... that's unfortunate, but again you can buy things to replace them for like next to nothing :/

Not trying to discourage you from doing it if you really want to, just saying those are all pretty easy fixes. Feel free if you want to for other reasons.

If you are looking at buying a new case, you do realise you'll have to build the computer again in the new case, right? If you have the ability to build a PC, why didn't you do it in the first place? If you're going to pay a professional to do it, expect it to cost at least another $50

$1800 for the tower you have is ridiculously overpriced, but nice set-up nevertheless

Well, at the time I didnt really want to waist my time on making a computer, and $1800 Is a good price if you want to buy anything in Aus.

When I was in the UK I bought a Laptop for 250 Pound (About $500) I come over here and it was $850 Same laptop.
