What is an Hauppage HD PVR?
A Hauppage HD PVR stands for .. Hauppage High Defintion Personal Video Recorder
It cost 199.99 at the sellers websites
This device records High Definition (720p-1010p) video from your ps3 to your PC.

    What items will you need?

    - If recording HD, you will need a set of co
    mponent cables (ps3 input)

    - The HD PVR should come with the following..
component to component, usb, power supply, remote, optical speaker

    - You will also need an HD TV to play on

    __________________________

    Procedure to hooking it up!

    1. Plug the Hauppage HD PVR in

    2. Take the component to component cable and plug them in along the top row of slots, match them up (color coordinated)
2.5 Once done with that, take the other part, and plug them into the component slots on your HD TV, match them up (color coordinated)

    3. Take the component to AV slot and then plug the component side on the bottom row of slots, match them up (color coordinated)
3.5 Once done with that, take the AV part and plug it into your AV slot of your Sony PlayStation 3.

    4. Once this is done, transfer all the Display / Sound settings
4.5 Change Display to - Component .. Change Sound to - AV .. Then confirm

That's all there is to it for the Hardware setup, now for the software!

    Software Setup Procedure

1- Put the CD in, and install everything that it tells you to.
    2- Choose the appropriate setting.
2.5 I suggest turning the mbps average up til 7 or 6.7

Another very visually appealing guide. :) I don't have a PS3, but it's still good to know.

I'd like to see pics of the procedure, if possible? Maybe you can take a phone and just take pics of the different steps?

Also, a little intro paragraph on the uses of the PVR would be nice. Like, uses in killstreaks or something? :)
