Weird Thing Going On In My Life.

Hey guys. I have a really weird scenario for you guys and I need your honest opinions. I have this family friend who has become a major part in my family and her and I are basically cousins. We've known each other ever since I was like 10 and she was like 12 and have hung out during every holiday event that is celebrated with my whole family.. Now I just turned 17 a few weeks ago and she turned 19 awhile ago. And this may sound weird but I'm becoming attracted to her. Although she has never admitted any true feelings about me and I've never done the same to her, she told me that my birthday gift from her is that we are gonna smoke together. I'm just really nervous that when I'm high I'm going to say something really retarded to her about how I feel about her and although I wouldn't mind it I'm scared I might try and hook-up with her. Although we aren't blood related cousins, my real blood related cousin lives with her and her family. It is really something awkward happening to me and I don't know what to do. I'm scared to tell her my true feelings about her cause if that ever gets spread through my family it would be one of the most strange things that has ever happened to me. We hang out every now and then with a few of her friends and I see her every holiday as well. I know she really isn't into younger guys I'm just really clueless on what to do. And before you guys post. I have no intentions of going too far with her at the risk of getting her pregnant if something ever did happen the farthest I'd go with her is 3rd. But I need your ideas. Do I tell her my true feelings about her eventually at risk that she will tell the rest of my family? Or do I wait till I smoke with her and just wait to see what happens. Me and her have a pretty secret life anyways and she has told me about some of the craziest things that she wouldn't tell most people. Anyways sorry for the rambling on, I'm just scared if I admit to her that I've had feelings for her that she will tell the family and I will be a disgrace to my family for trying to hit on my "cousin".

I don't see how it is wrong to love someone (or to feel attracted to) a close friend of the family. I know someone who in fact married their cousin, (blood related) and they've been together for 30 years now. If it's true love, nothing else matters.

 

Thanks for the response Nyx. I think I'm able to admit to myself that I love her it is just idk how to approach it. Do I do it in person, over the phone, or what? It is really awkward for me since she is really close to my family and I only see her a once or twice a month. And I'm nervous about if she doesn't feel the same way about me what could go wrong is she wouldn't even want to talk to me again. Those are my 2 main issues.

 

I would wait and let thing unfold themselves... Unless your 110% sure she feels the same way don`t go for it... Because think about this, if she doesn`t feel the same way and you tell her all that you will never want to see her again because it will just be to awkward and seeing how you would see her in family events i would not recommend it even more... I doubt she would go and tell the rest of your family about the situation that would be a dick move... you could slowly hint to her how you feel or wait until you think the time is right... but i wouldn't recommend a 1 night confession thing it doesn`t work like in the movies you gotta slowly feed the women until she catches on...

Smoking doesn't take control of your body. I'd recommend you telling her how you feel over the phone, and if you cant do that, via a text. Just because she is a 19 doesn't mean shit. To all these people that say let it unfold...they're retarded... In the time it does unfold, she could get taken mate. You have to tell her how you feel or your insides will eat you apart. By the way you word things she probably likes you and if you tell her and she denies you just say I really hope we can still be good friends.
