Virtual Sythe Wallet

Ok, I was asked to update this so others would understand what I am suggesting here.In short, I am NOT suggesting a type of Sythe Currency. Which would be something like us buying "sythe points" or "Sythe credits" with real cash or things like that. No.What I AM suggesting is having a virtual wallet that we can put money in via WU, Moneypak, Etc. Then we could use that wallet to buy services, gold, etc from other users.Most of this is already explained in the comments below with tons of other suggestions that would make this a really great idea.So I hope I can get some support and help make this happen

I think you should elaborate on your suggestion. I think you're talking about the point "Sythe Currency" is in the DNS list. From what I assume (from your title), your suggestion is something along the lines of the Steam wallet.

 

Yeah pretty much, I was suggesting allowing users to have their own Sythe wallet, where we could upload cash via PP or Moneypak things like that, then use the cash to buy services, gold etc from others...

Would be easy to stop some scammers because admins could just refund cash that may have been stolen easily by putting 24 hour holds on transactions.

 

what would be the point if its still getting uploaded via PP.

Why cant they just get fraud protection that many normal users cant get?

 

Fraud protection isnt a 100% guarenteed safe trade.
People can still chargeback.

And even if there is going tobe a sythe wallet.
People arent going to upload much cash because Sythe isnt a bank.

 

Doubt sythe would want to be responsible for tens of thousands.

 

Honestly.. if there was a safe way for Sythe to get payments this would be a super cool idea. Your pos is edited out but I think I see what you're getting at.

The issue is:
1. Buy "virtual currency"
2. Buy Gold
3. Chargeback Virtual Gold
4. Someone loses-- Sythe or the guy who got scammed

 

This is a pretty good idea.. but its sythe who loses on this..

 

Elitepvp (a german trading website) has something like this where they can do payments through the site's gold feature.

Fro what I've heard they haven't had many issues but I'm not sure what it's like in Europe.

It would have to be non-refundable, with non-refundable depositing options.

 

People can chargeback with Paypal and Sythe could do nothing about it. The only way anything like this would work would be through bonds, but I don't see it coming.

 

You mean sorta like the djs2 forum, Bad idea there is no point to add anything like this sythe already has everything it needs dealing with currency, the site already runs smooth as is. All im saying is why add something new that is prone to cause problems when everything is alright atm good idea though.

 

Why doesnt sythe take 10% out of everything thats uploaded into the 'virtual wallet' and then surely he will profit out of this. And cant sythe get ip addresses etc. from the scammers and start a legal case against them or something?

There are at least 3 scam reports daily i would think. everything is not okay.

I would actually be interested in supporting something like this because the payments could be reversed by the site (global/ admin task maybe) if there was 100% evidence of scamming, making Sythe.org a middleman in a sense. A bit more work on the moderator's part though.

 

A bit more work on Moderators wouldn't hurt Sypherz.
This would be good, but only if it was allowed trough WU/LR/MG, no chance of a chargeback occurring, and would be much safer in general, Sythe could also keep 10-15% of all the money that goes into the Wallet, profit and safety, support from me

 

I don't think Sythe would end up taking a cut if this was implemented, and I have no issue with doing more work. This idea would be VERY tough to pass though.

 

The problem would be I don't think it would get enough usage to actually maintain. Why would somebody buy Sythe currency when they can directly send money via WU/LR/MG to their buyer/seller. The only payment options you could use are the ones that it wouldn't be needed for

Plus, it would welcome a whole new variety of hackers/crackers, and then if anything did manage to happen, Sythe would be fucked up the you know what.
