Hey guys, blade here. I'm looking to start gaming on my pc.
I don't know how steam accounts work, i see all these digits, can someone explain?

I just want to play:
Cod4
Mw2
Tf2
Black ops (maybe)

And they're helluh expensive!

I'd also like explaining on how steam works please, and also i hear that you can change your username at any time? So i can buy an account and fully personalize?

Well. It's kinda hard to describe Steam - imagine facebook mixed with a games shop and you're sort of there. It updates games automatically, and provide achievements and multiplayer for games that support (known as Steamworks). You CANNOT change your username, but no-one can see it but you, so I guess it doesn't matter. You can change your steam name/avatar and community url to whatever you want, tho.

MW/MW2 are solid games, but there are reports that Blops has some stutter problems for some machines, but I guess that'll be patched soon.

I get it now! One more question, can i make an account and buy the keys to certain games from people for cheaper?

 

yes u can, i got a 2003 account with like last online 300 days = its not active and not used by owner and will no be recovered
msn in sig, the account come with 15 games it self too..

 

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601. These are the only cd-keys you can enter into steam, but you can gift any game purchasable on steam from one account to another. However, if the key is carded/ chargeback'd from pp, both steam accounts get disabled.

You can activate retail MW2, but not CoD4. That'd have to be gifted

Dont buy gifts, 95% of all gifts are carded, and will make your account disabled (carded = stolen creditcards) just warning you
