Well, I spend most of my time on Sythe in the Personal Support section of the forums, I have given out a lot of advice and I've helped quite a few people over time.

I think it would be a good idea if people could rate your advie, I have been thanked for my advice and help but I think it would be good if the thread starter could rate your advice (thumbs up or thumbs down) that way we could see what we typed and give people the same advicde who are in the same situation.

Most problems are quite easy to fix, it's the suicide threads I have trouble posting on as I don't want to give bad advice, obviously if 80%+ of my advice is rated as good then I would be happy to post as I know that most of my advice is good.

I feel that you should be content with gratitude. A little thumbs up button will only spoil you.

    Sort of falls under that.

If someone is contemplating suicide I doubt they would spend their last few moments rating everyones advice >_<

If you aren't 100% sure on the advice you are about to give then chances are you shouldn't be giving it anyway. All advice given should be "rated" highly otherwise they shouldn't be posting it in the first place.

Yes I agree it should always be good advice, but some people give bad advice, perhaps after a few bad advices they shouldn't be able to post on personal support for a while.
It's not a rep system, it's rating advice not a person, if people give bad advice then it can obviously effect the people taking the advice, people from Personal Support would understand.

It doesn't even have to be publicly shown as good/bad advice, the person could get a pm or something, that way it's not a rep system.

What is said in that section of the forum can effect peoples lives and it should be taken seriously.

Can't the designated mod there deem what is bad advice and delete it if necessary?

Technically none of us are trained professionals to handle suicide situations, so we shouldnt try to intervene.

That's why I don't like posting on suicide threads.
As for Kmjt's post, Gohan was mod of Personal Support but I don't know what's happened to him now, he has stopped postage as much and I don't think he is actually Personal Support mod anymore.
