Why must they die? QwQ

okay I know we've all been there, we play a good game fall in love with the main character or other characters and then nearing the end they end up dying... i mean common!!@#!@# thank you game developers, thank you for getting me emotionaly attached

or another thing, when they make a prequel to a game,

and the main character happens to be the guy who is already dead in the next one... you know its coming but it still gets you QwQ

anywho, what games have you played with a dissapointing end? and who were(TwT) your favorite characters, ither good or bad guy?


my two favorite were Zack Fair from final fantasy Crisis Core


and Genisis Rhapsodos same game(altho im not quite sure if hes dead yet x.x)

Are there any games you really love? If so, I would think that there is at least one character that you develop some kind of bond to, especially if you've been with them for a while throughout the game. By that I mean that they are somewhat like your 'best friend' in the game. Hope you get what I mean, lol. :love:

Anyways, I can't think of any off the top of my mind, atm, but I know there have been a few in the past. I'm not really into some of the newer games, so they're usually in older games that I play again when I get the chance. There are some newer games I plan on giving a try, though.

yea it seems like all the older games have the best storylines i dont know why, they just do. I guess new games developers have either ran out of ideas or just want to rush games for quick money.

besides all the newer games are tipicly the same. diffrent people, diffrent time, same story.

 

It's not necessarily that, I actually love some newer games. I have just grown more of an attachment to older games because of having 'grown up' with them and looking back at how much fun they were/still are, despite the gameplay limits, etc. they had during the time of *fill in with an old game*.

Goku always died in DBZ. So did Vegeta and pretty much everyone at one point. They'll tell you omg he cant be revived again because he already used the dragonballs once for that. But then, they find another way to revive him as sort of a surprise to the audience. Happened a lot throughout the whole deal.

well DBZ was moar of a.. well we cant continue the series w/o him deal... so he always had to come back. even tho they ttly stole him @ the end of DB GT

 

Yeah, but what about Piccolo and Vegeta? Tien? All the main characters died at one point with no sign that they would return. It was just a twist in the story that they did come back.

 

well in reality they were never "main" characters, sure they all had their side stories but Goku and his family were the main people.

 

They call it Plot-Kai.

 

I almost cried at the end of red-dead.

The only virtual characters I would feel upset if they died are snake from metal gear and abe from abes Odyssey.

I was really sad when all the hot chicks from SuckerPunch died

 

If you've ever played Mafia II you get really attached to the characters. One of the characters I was attached to unexpectedly died. Because there's this one guy that you always do missions with and at the climax of the campaign he gets brutally beat and at the end you find out he was going to rat you out. Also at the end, it shows a meta fore that shows that one of your best friends you always do the missions with gets killed at the end. I think it's a really depressing game. Mafia II in my opinion, probably has one of the best story-line ever.
