Half of RuneScape's got it right that PK'ing is a huge center of activity, so they've released a set of potential updates (see here).

What do you think of the proposed updates? Personally, I'm a big fan - I think activity in the wildy will increase, and even if it doesn't, there are some pretty new features that may come around.

 

That's great! I like the idea of the swag bag. Pretty nifty. Really makes me want to skill in the wild now though.

 

Looks really good! I'm real happy with the way Jagex is setting this up.

Really good update for once! (First since release of RS2).

I hope there may be some brawlers or something similar to that!

 

Really epic update. Wish I had time to continue working on my pure. Really looking forward to summer pking at the end of april now

 

Probably one of the only good moves they've made with updating the game so far. Too bad they didn't do these sorts of updating in the 2011-12 era, that would have been sick.

 

Why would they add good skilling content in the wilderness? Just think about it. What skiller will make it out the wilderness with, say for example more than 20 red chins without getting killed? Eventually these spots will be camped and no one will bother to skill there.

 

i like the part of the ditch removal, rest sounds awesome aswell.

 

shouldnt be too hard for skillers to get resources and such in the wildy, with most worlds being pretty empty in the wildy anyway.

There are a lot of spots and a lot of worlds - and the idea is that multiple PK'ers will try to converge on valuable spots, bringing together different groups and causing a lot of new PvP action between solo PK'ers and/or teams.

Plus, I look forward to skilling in some of the new areas myself, and I'm much more inclined towards PK'ing. They're supposed to be too good to pass up, and they're sounding like it

 

Was referring to the new skilling content. There's always going to be people pking, now they're going to be more divded which will be annoying for most people who just edge pk or go to pk worlds.

 

Cannot believe they said "Swag Bag" - but I'm all for these changes.

It livens up the Wilderness, makes some risk for skillers as well. For many, it's a pointless place to go.

It'll be interesting on how many players it brings to the wilderness with the update. I'm excited and may test my luck out there

Although as a low level pure the updates don't necessarily apply to me, I'm still loving these proposals... Let's hope they get put into motion..

 

Not really a fan tbh aha only because most of what I bot is in the wild.

 

The potential seem awesome, I really hope jagex continues to update 07 with good content and I hope to see it grow even further
