Best way to liquidate?

I stopped playing RS a long time ago, but now I figure I might as well sell the stuff that I earned during my career. As you can see my account here is pretty old.

I was thinking about liquidating my rares:




I think this is about 7-8Bil worth. I was hoping to get some advice before I sell. Last time I sold for real money I just repeatedly had people attempting to scam me (I did this selling on Sythe mind you). Would it be best to just sell cheap to one of the gold buyers on Sythe who seem to be pretty legit, yet pay low sums for the gp?

Also, is it better to sell of the rares or sell them as is?

Finally, which is the safest method of trade? I hate paypal now due to my previous experience but I was thinking WU looked pretty good.

It's a good option to go with the trusted buyers, knowing you will get your $ you deserve. Yet selling little by little, you may save a few hundred more. Yet, dealing with that big or an order, i would go with a trusted user, yes loosing a few hundred sucks, but you know you will get it without the chance of a scam.

I recommend, Viou, King tijn or Busta305.

Does anyone recommend Player Auctions? Would anyone buy without positive feedback?

 

Player Auctions is great, but you still have to be careful to record all the trade information and the trade itself to avoid getting scammed.

It would take a lot more effort than simply selling to a trusted user, and after fee, I doubt you'll make much more.

You mean <$4 thousand? I would do the same though, sell all the rares for gp and then sell the gp to trusted buyers, it's worth the peace of mind.

I reckon you should sell to Viou, as he is the most trusted gold merchant on Sythe. He can purchase everything you have at $0.4/M I believe and his payment through Western Union are instant, meaning you see the payment online instantly and can go pick it up at your local WU agent right away.

A word of advice, however; do not sell your partyhats to people who _seem_ respectable if they cannot back it up with enough vouches that, in total, amount to more than what your items are worth. A good example of this is discovery.ch, who, apparently, scammed a blue and white partyhat some months ago from an oblivious seller.

honestly sell to video, king tijn, or viou. They offer lower prices but you have no need for an OMM which saves you 10%, also PA fee is 10% on the seller, you sell to a trusted member such as the ones stated above at least you have pace of mind in the end knowing your money is safe.
