Would buying high-tier items be safer than buying gold from sellers?

Sorry if this is a silly question but would buying and receiving a high-tier item, such as the [RS3] Eldritch Crossbow (2.1b+) off the market be safer than buying GP in general?
I know that buyers definitely have a 'lower' chance of being banned, but I know that at a certain amount such as 1b+ trades of GP would be deemed risky even for the buyer.

There are people who sell partyhats/santa hats/ etc. on some forums & websites and I'm curious if there have been instances where people have been caught or banned by doing these expensive trades- and if they were easily tracked and seen clearly as RWT case.

I've been on both ends of buying and selling billions of GP and have never had any RWT bans. From my experience and from the experience of those I've worked with in the past, it is almost impossible to be banned for buying (almost).

Either way, buying items or GP are both considered RWT so it's neither here nor there. They're both bannable offences. It's more of a preference.

 

There are many factors that go into this such as, who the seller is, how much they sell etc. I would say its more safe but I would still be weary.

 

i would say, selling osrs items instead of gp is "safer".

 

I really don't have data/experience to back this up (because most people just go straight for gold), but if I were to guess, yes it's sliiiiightly safer.

 

By a very slight margin, yeah. Really depends on the seller in first place.

I think it would be slightly safer but still has a high chance of rwt ban
