obby mauler - slayer help! Turael or Vannaka

On the treacherous road to 55 slayer

Was slaying for about a day got from 1-35 from tasks using Vannaka and I've been ranging mobs

Would Turael (Burthope) OR Vannaka be the better slayer master to complete tasks for??

I used vannaka and so did my friend. Remember not to gain too high of a ranged level so it wont ruin your combat. With 1 attack and 99 strength the highest ranged you can have without gaining combat is 67. With higher ranged you might aswell get attack. I used magic and melee to train slayer aswell to not get too high ranged.

and what do u mean by higher attack - 20 attack obby mauler? or go straight to 50 for gmaul

 

If you're wanting to use high ranged, you might want to have 50 attack with a gmaul, purely because 50att/99str is going to be a melee based combat. If you have 99 ranged also, you'll be able to range them gmaul rush them for the ko, which is a different type of PKing for you to explore.

 

ah so i kinda messed up by getting high range... how else could I have gotten my slayer up - slayer currently 45 & now 65 range
obby mauling to 55 slay would seem like a nightmare

 

Use magic and ranged until level 67 in both then switch to melee. Use a topaz machette i believe its called. I know its a pain and a long way with 1 attack but its very much worth it.

That's a shame. A few months back I did 99 strength with 40 attack and later decided to turn into a main, oops.

 

vannaka, but if it's too hard then go to turael for that task.

 

I'd say Vannaka. Turael just gives horrible slayer tasks bro its not even worth it.
