Sports that shouldn't be sports

What are some sports that shouldn't really be counted as sports?

You must provide reasoning and actual facts as to why the sport you mentioned shouldn't be a sport.

 

Video gaming should not be a sport.

 

Ping Pong, for obvious reasons.

Poker.

 

It'd be nice if you posted your 'obvious' reasons as they might not be so 'obvious' to others.

 

How is a worldwide hobby not obvious. Only 1 country in the world considers it a sport.

 

Curling. No athletic skill is required. Also poker.

 

Since when was video gaming a sport in the first place?

It is a sport, also you can't say ping pong isn't a sport it takes skill and athletic ability.

 

I'm serious, lol. When was this a sport? I'd classify video gaming under hobbies and things to do when bored, not sports.

 

Badminton, walking races.

 

I wouldn't class Synchronized swimming as a sport, I'm not even sure how it made it's way into the olympics. There is some physical activity required, but I see it as more of an art.

There are 45 in Africa, 45 in Asia, 57 in Europe, 35 in Latin America, 4 in North America and 21 in Oceania.

I agree with curling. It's like a little childrens game on ice. It does take skill to 'play' but just as much as me throwing some paper into a bin a couple metres away.

Baseball: While some people are physically fit in the game, a majority of them are extremely skinny or really fat. There is basically no activity in baseball except for the small chance of the batter hitting the ball and having to run a whole 90 feet to go stand still for another 10 minutes, and if they miss, they go and sit out in the dugout and wait to go stand in the outfield. Occasionally someone playing in the field will have to dive or run or something but that barely ever happens because batters hit below .300 most of the time anyway.
