What puts the Korean scene ahead of everyone else?

I'm a big fan of watching LCS / competitive League play, and the Koreans are just some next level shit.

Personally, I think it's their objective control, and mechanics that put them at the top.

Would you all agree, or what would you have to say about it?

 

Mechanics yes, but also the fact that they have such a huge fanbase - The mentality over there is that LoL is essentially a national sport , which must help them to compete to be the best and practice with far more dedication than Westerners tend to.

They practice for at least 10 hours a day against other professional players/teams, and as Jay Zee said, it is literally considered a national sport.

 

Objective control and picks. A lot of teams in NA or EU just flat out throw in draft or don't play their compositions properly. The Koreans aren't afraid to try new things. Their mechanics are superior, but not by a large amount. Only team that actually innovates in EU is Gambit. VES tries but it doesn't quite work out for them.

 

Good point. I never thought about how their picks could make such a difference.

 

It's more so the fact that they look at LoL as an ever-changing game. They try new things, that changes the outlook of the game in our eyes, in terms of efficiency and productivity. Other regions are far more stagnant.

 

Korean, with a keyboard..mouse.. they can do it all.

 

We play the meta that Koreans played last month... simple as that.

They meta is currently ahead of eu/na and i also believe the Korean's have much better mechanics. Watching montechristo's grilled interview was pretty insightful into why the korean's are better, if you're really interested i suggest that you watch it on youtube.

 

I would agree, they are really good, I personally like Shy's playstyle for Singed.

 

NA is far superior in mechanics we have the best ADC's and we have the best Junglers by far all the mid and top lanes are pretty close what makes Korea different is they all have analyst as well as godlike supports we have only 2 God Tier supports in NA LemonNation & Xpecial.

Korea has actually analyst where NA does not our Meta is a bit different C9 plays more like Korea with objective control > kills and they also have an idea china uses where ADC doesn't get all the gold prioritize best gold for team 10 gold for team is better then 7 gold for adc.

Korea has never won world to my knowledge and we all know Azubu beat TSM in the semi finals in S2 just because they cheated and ended up getting fined only 50k usd instead of losing position or anything. TSM would have won world again Regi has a great track record at world Chicks Dig Elo won world effortlessly.


Its easier to win games when you hire 112 people to look at your opponents weaknesses.

 

Mechanics, yes in a way. They aren't born with godly mechanics they earn it through hard work and a lot of effort.

The huge difference especially in SoloQ is that in Asia they take SoloQ seriously, if you have ever played in Plat/Diamond in Asia you will notice they take the games a lot more serious than NA players and that they just have a great sense of what to do. Objective and Map control is what many Asian High-ELO players have.
