"I went on a sex strike for five years after our kid was born, as a way to maintain my autonomy and agency once I realised the kid thing really did economically trap me into my (reasonably happy) marriage with a (reasonably egalitarian, yet clueless) guy. I just couldn’t give up that last thing of myself – if I had, then he would have owned *all* of me, not just my free childkeeping and house labour.

(And I didn’t miss it. Caring for kid, going to school, making art took up all of my energy.)

When I did want to have sex again, I made the political decision to engage with men outside of the marriage, as well as the husband. If I was going to engage in (the oppressive act of) sex, then I would have it *how* I wanted it and with *whomever* I wanted it with, so as to expand the boundaries inherent in the system of non-consent"

Does she have the right to do this?

Sounds pretty crazy to me, sex is something to be enjoyed, not withheld from yourself or others because you think it makes people look at you better or something? I don't even really understand what she thought she would accomplish from that..

Of course she has the right to do it, though she seems pretty stupid and pretentious for actually doing

I heard that god formulated marriage specifically to enslave women. There is inequality in how gender roles are constructed, I get it. However, sexuality is far too heavily looked into by feminists. PIV is simply PIV, a biological mechanism to reproduce. It doesn't have any inherent psychological qualities (excluding sexual pleasure etc from copulation).

Haters gonna hate, feminists gonna feminist.

It's her body, and she can both please, and be pleased, by whomever she wants.

However, that doesn't make her an ignorant bitch. Its virtually an obligation to have sex in marriage, to not do that for 5 years just to feel like your not being "oppressed" ( Tell me how having sex is oppressing to women, please. ) is stupid.

What we overlooked though, is whether or not she's worth tapping. Any pics??
