How do you properly merch?

So I want to know if I'm properly merching, what I tend to do is look for an item that would have demand say pk items or anything that involves skills and I try to buy 5% or 10% above or below and find out the price it will sell it to me then I take that as my selling price and try to buy below that.

Is there a better way to find the buying and selling price of an item or is this the best way?

 

That's basically what I do, find that selling price threshold, and buy @ 5gp under that.

 

What do you mean like say your flipping dark bows and you buy them for 640k you buy under the 640k?

What I do is put in an offer for 1 of an item at +25% above market, then I take down the price it sold to me for. Then I sell the item I just bought for under 25% to see lowest price people are buying it for. So here's an example:

Put in an offer for lets say.... 1x Magic Log for 3k, it sells for lets say 1500gp
I immediately sell that magic log for lets say 500gp and I get 1340gp in this situation I would put in an offer for 50k magic logs @ 1345gp and once they sell to you, put in a sell offer for 1490gp or so.

Merching requires only one rule.

Sell higher than you buy.


You can merc ANYTHING, as long as you follow that rule.
