With a string of high ranking hits and collaborations with various high profile artists, as well as being the famed "son" of Birdman, do you believe Weezy will only continue to cement his position as one of the greatest artists of our generation?

But he can't rap for shit :s have you heard him free style? It's just depressing, I do admit he is appealing due to his very distinctive voice, and all the other obvious catchy things he does, but...in all honesty he produces repetitive talentless bullshit songs.

Honestly, he's probably one of my favorite artists regardless of the fact that he sucks singing live.
I think he will stay on top for a while.

All music is, is personal opinion so I can't argue Anyones point of view. Yet I do believe because of his background and collaboration he will continue to progress and become, not the most talented artist, but one of the most recognised.

I'd go more for best businessman. His marketing and business ethics beat his actual lyric skill, although I think Tha Carter IV is going to sell huge.

I personally don't listen to rap but I do have to admit some of his lines are witty, and that is the only reason I will listen to rap. Wit and tact, cunning with words. Most rappers are just 'Bitches, and hoes, I've got guns.' but if they can turn those stereotypes into something more by using agile diction and great sense of the world it makes a rapper.

He right now is no where compared to where he was at. I honestly can't even listen to anything after No Ceilings and that was still not so good. He has never been the 'greatest' there is much better talent than him, but he is so publicized that he is all you here.

Who i think is better than him. Dre, Biggie, Curren$y, Eminem, shit even Drake is lyrically better NOW.

Lil Wayne is shit....anything he does sells because retarded 13 year olds think lilwayne is the shit and if they listen to lil wayne they are the shit. I have friends that listen to lil wayne all the way up on their ipods because they think that if people hear them they'll think they are cool....i hate lil wayne he has no talent.
