Im impressed by sythe members

Was just browsing through the archives and stumbled across a thread entitled "What was the best book you have ever read" and am suprised at the books, theyre quite intellectual and nothing at all like what i expected.

Going to the markets forums i used to think sythe members were immature but I stand corrected. I guess a lot of sythe members are pretty smart.

 

Its the beauty of Sythe, It spreads over a huge range of people, You have the younger generation, who do the small trades after a good account on runescape or parts of the market, these'll not post anywhere but in the markets.

Then you have the older/maturer members, who'll dabble in alot of the sections, contribute well, even this forum section.. SFA, Has, in some places, been a better debating section than several sites i used to go to that had similar things.

 

I wholeheartedly disagree. I used to have high hopes about the future of humanity, then I read some of the religion and culture threads on this forum. Some people are horrifically racist.

 

Yeah, ive been reading some of the other forums and am seriously disgusted, hopefully the racist/ignorant haters are just a minority here. I think its a lack of exposure that makes people so bigoted.

Well, atleast a few (i.e the ones who posted their favourite books) impressed me.

@karl: I agree, i find it uncanny how what is or was essentially a runescape cheating site attracts mature/older members who contribute so much. Some of the threads on this site beat several other sites explicity for older members/ intelligent topics, of course such threads are often interspersed with trolls/racists/generally ignorant comments but i suppose that it just keeps things interesting
