    Sound Cards?

Is there a good reason to get one? I have the Logitech G430 headset, would a sound card increase the audio quality at all? I already try to listen to songs in 320kbps, would a sound card improve anything?

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI Z97 ATX Mobo, what's a solid, but cheap sound card I could get, if it actually makes a difference?

    Cheers!

A reasonably priced sound card focuses mainly on the distortion and noise that you can develop within a pc. Having a sound card isolates the 'electrical' noise.

However, the difference is minimal as generally on-board sound cards do a good enough job. The only time you should consider giving up a pci-e slot for one is if you genuinely 'need' one, not 'want' one.

Awesome, thanks! I'll stick to the on-board sound, then.

    Sound Cards?

Only sound card can't make any difference. When i think about good sound then first thing pop up in my mind is source of audio. Collect flac audio songs rip at 700 to 1500 kbps bitrate. Second thing i recommended is good dac. To improve all over sound quality. Then last thing is sound card with 5.1 channels or DTS card for more better results. Hope this helps.
