    Steam trades.

Can anyone fill me in on them? I'm new to it, but I'm going to be in the market for a MW3 key and possibly some other shit soon so I wanted to familiarize myself. Don't bother posting shit advertising your steam sale thread, I just need a few questions answered.

    1) How safe is purchasing accounts? Are they easily recoverable like RS accounts?

    2) Is there any way to 100% guarantee that an account cannot be recovered by the previous owner?

    3) If I choose to shy away from buying accounts (which I think I might), what is better? Buying keys or buying gifts? Keys seem like the better option to me, are those recoverable or can they get my personal account into any trouble?

    Thanks for the help :)

    1. Unsure, they are not as easy to recover than RS ones though. I would say they're safer than RS accounts.

    2. I'm not sure there is a way, however you can make sure the email on it is yours and you reset Steam guard so their PC is no longer usable to log into that account with. I've never seen someone on here complain about their purchased Steam account being recovered, it doesn't mean it can't happen though.

    3. Whether you do keys or gifts they can both be reversed, however if you activate a key on your account and it gets reversed then only the game will be taken off your account and not your entire Steam account disabled (like it was a few years back). With gifts they are slightly more reliable as the only way a person can reverse a gift is if they reverse the payment over PayPal, this will instantly suspend their account until PayPal come to a decision. Keys or gifts, your account will always be intact no matter what.
