Easycap + ulead (capture device to stream)

Im from Uk

and watched countless videos on youtube on how to setup my easycap device to stream my xbox on my laptop through a programme called ulead which comes with the easycap.

If anyone is a pro with these and could help me i'd muchly appreciate it.

Problem,

for some reason i can't get no picture from my xbox on my ulead but i can get my normal tv programme channels.

when im on my xbox channel on tv ulead is just black screen when i put on my tvchannels for programmes it works fine.

no idea why

i have going from my xbox a cable with 6 jack plugs on 2 red 1 blue 1 green 1 yellow 1 white

they all fit into the back of the tv and then my cables from my easy cap go in to a scart lead extension and they slot into the scart lead slow and i turn the scart lead extension to OUTPUT as it has a input and output option
