Windows 7 Reset Disk

I found an old laptop that I haven't used in over a year. It's a Toshiba Satellite U305-S5127. It runs on a Windows 7 Home Basic. I forgot my password and at the time I wasn't aware of creating or the importance of making a password reset disc for the laptop. So I figured that making one on a different laptop would be useful. I tried it out, but it doesn't work. An error pops up, and upon google research, I figured out that I couldn't use the password reset disc because they are of different OS. Even though both are running on Windows 7. I was wondering, are there any other options other than reformatting the Toshiba laptop? I don't have any files that I'm worried about losing, its just a tedious alternative.

 

Yes, there are other options. There are programs that you can put on a usb drive or disc that let you bypass the administrator password on a windows 7 machine.

 

Do a google search for windows 7 administrator password crack. We used to do this all the time in highschool, crack to the admin account and remove the password. It let us get on facebook and run programs.
