Mac Teamspeak problem

No one can hear me speak when I have my teamspeak minimized. In order for them to hear me I have to actually have the teamspeak open. My button lights up as if i'm talking when my teamspeak is minimized but they won't hear anything.

How can I fix this? I have a mac.
