    Will this trade go smoothly?

Alright. PLEASE forgive me if I have this in the wrong section, or if this isent aloud. Yes I have skimmed through the rules and I didnt see anything pertaining this, if I overlooked it please forgive me and close this thread because I'm in a bit of a rush.

So I have a trade down. I'm buying a pretty decent Runescape account.
The buyer and I have both agree'd to use a middle man. Official MM's are hard to get a hold of and we've been trying to nab one for the past 2 days. We just got a hold of x0rohail0x who has an MMing thread and is pretty trusted with quite a few vouches and MM's

I'm buying the account for $90.00 USD and I'm paying through the mail.
The seller is going to give the MM all the info to his account. Once the MM changes everything and makes sure its secured. I am going to send my money through the mail.
Once the seller gets the money and confirms the amount to the MM, the MM will then give me all the info and I'll change everything.

SOME DETAILS: The seller is supplying ALL the recent passwords, ALL the answers to the recovs, ALL the emails from jagex pertaining the billing information.
The only major thing he isent supplying is the e-mail address. He said hasnt used the email in a very long time (witch I don't have a hard time believing, the account is high leveled and pretty old) and he said he tried contacting his ISP for the info but to no avail.
Can he still recover the account if I have all that other info changed ?

ALSO: The seller and I both have each other cell phone numbers and plan on staying in touch the whole step of the way, I also have his address.

In the time it takes for you to mail you could ask the mm to try recover forgotten password with the info he has provided to make sure his passwords and stuff are legit.

    Just a thought

Make sure you are using a completely trustful mm. If there was a way to avoid using mail it would be better too. I would recomend using an OMM just pay the 5 dollars. It is worth it not being scammed 90.

WAIT FOR AN OMM!!! if they're trusted by sythe staff, you can trust them, its well worth the wait. Also if you must do the trade by mail, you may want to sent the money to the OMM first, and have the omm send it to the seller that way its completly confirmed that it was sent to the seller. It may take an extra week, but its worth it to not lose $90, ya know?

The email thing seems kinda fishy. I don't think you could add emails to Runescape accounts until the last year or so, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'd be a bit wary, and I'd also wait for an OMM.

Wait your sending the guy the cash directly??? What if he claims he never received when he did? :-/ I would send cash to mm, have mm recover account, so mm has both things, then when the account has been successfully recovered and the mm holds both the account and the cash the trade is then completed.

    Just my opinion :)

yes he can still recover the account if all the info is changed, because he will have the old (more important) info. I know that for a fact, good luck on your trade though.

Anybody can always recover an account.
I'd send your cash to the MM, then have him mail it to the seller.

If I were you I would record yourself putting the correct amount of money inside of the letter or whatever you're using and mailing it to his address (with it shown) in case he tries to say he never received it, or if x0rohail0x would prefer, you could send the money to him and he could forward it to the account owner.

Just keep in mind that the original owner (which I'll assume is the seller) can ALWAYS recover the account. It comes down to whether or not you trust them enough to risk your money.. I've bought I think.. 4 characters, 3 have been recovered. The other, the guy tried to recover about a year and a half after I bought it.. he got it back and I got it locked. Neither of us could get it unlocked so it just sort of sat there for like 2 months until I randomly decided to try it and it worked, he hasn't touched it since (or for all I know he tried and failed, been about 5 years since I bought it)

So really, I would say be careful at the very least. Know who you're trading with. If he's underage/lives with his parents, ask him to let you talk to his parents and make sure they know what is going on and that they will hold him to it.

If there's something fishy, there's always a reason for it.

So check it out, be careful. Sounds very fishy with the email. :S
