Whip staking with vls or swh?

I whip stake, no armor, no spec etc. I don't use rapier because I'm too lazy to level dung again. Would buying a VLS or a SWH give me an advantage? Also, would I use them as a KO weapon?

No, in a fight where both players have no armour even a whip would outhit the VLS. I'd suggest getting the rapier, you can just download powerbot and bot dungeoneering.

 

I already suicide botted my account to max staker, so i would like to not bot anymore for awhile.

I wouldn't recommend botting a rapier right now. iDungeon is free for a reason: it's buggy, which is the best way to get caught banned. Steeler is right about the VLS being lower DPS in no-armor matches, though. My suggestion is either stake boxing or train dungeoneering by hand.

Edit: IMO the VLS is the best switch weapon for whip staking.

 

VLS if you know, and occasionally get PID.

People here don't know, but if you have PID on your opponent, you still get a free hit.

Basically you could use your VLS at the start, if you have first hit, then switch to a whip. You will then attack at the same time, but you already have PID so it's like you got a free VLS hit, which is stronger and more accurate. Also riskier to use as a KO weapon, but possible.

Thing is, don't people use a rapier against you?

 

I stake smart and lookup EVERYONE I stakeM if their over 80 dung I make them prove in trade they don't have rapier.. or I won't stake them.

 

VLS is immensely better than whip. It's just a tad worse than a chaotic longsword. If you use VLS against a whip, you'll win 80-90% of the time, PiD or not

 

No. Because whip is faster resulting in more dps. I'm asking if using whip 90% of fight then switching to VLS for the finishing KO would be viable.

No, it's risky. And at times, you would most likely end up giving your opponent 2 hits if you don't KO them.

You can still get a CVLS hit in if you have higher PID than your opponent, you'll know if you have higher PID when you hit first. It won't give your opponent 2 hits either.

I just staked a guy and I used chaotic rapier and he used a vls, he is like 20 levels lower than me and he still won, this proves vls is the best.

 

Well then if you honestly believe that you may as well throw away your rapier because a VLS is actually a little WORSE than a CLS not much but still weaker stats the only plus to the vls is the special.

Vls Stats: +106 stab +121 slash +118 str atk speed of 5
Cls Stats: +107 stab +124 slash +120 str atk speed of 5
CR Stats: +94 stab +78 +101 str atk speed of 6

There was a chaotic raiper vs chaotic ls vs chaotic maul thread stickied (i think it should still be stickied as it would be handy here) that would be beneficial for you to look at seeing as you seem to beleive the VLS (almost EXACT same stats as cls) is better than the raiper, for pvp the raiper has the highest dps. To me it honestly sounds like you shouldnt stake anymore considering you were outclassed by someone 20 levels lower than you.. not trying to be mean just saying he either got lucky or was simply more skilled than you. PID could effect the outcome of such a fight alot with a VLS especially if his first hit was a special so consider that as well

OP no armor fights a whip would outclass the lot of them (outside of raiper) concerning dps but if your switching is good a VLS is a great KO weapon but as others have stated its speed can give the guy you are up against a chance at 2 hits if your KO is not sucessful.

 

I've tried using VLS when I have pid on my first hitM then switching to whip and that worked.. but using VLS as a ko weapon is just not worth the risk when doing large stakes.

I use rapier and destroy every single person who uses a whip at my level....
If I am fighting a cvls or vls the fights are always very close.

Vls vs Whip the vls will win around 90% of the time.
