If you had 10,000 dollars, how would you distribute it?

    Example:
    Bitcoin: 30%
    Litecoin: 15%
    IOTA: 15%
    ARDR: 10%
    ARK: 10%
    Metal: 10%
    Civic: 10%

Reasons behind your distribution would be appreciated.

Probably 50% ethereum and 50% LTC. People underestimate the power of coinbase in the general population. It's the number 1 app in the app store at the moment and if you're a coin on coinbase, you're set up for success in the long run. Bitcoin is too volatile and could crash, but LTC and eth are relatively stable and imo are better long term investments. IOTA is at a peak right now so I wouldn't touch that for a bit.

50% litecoin, Great team behind it, really useful as a alt to BTC and ETH when they are overloaded. (I invested a decent amount at $85)
20% XRP, Has great potential and backers. I don't see it ever being super expensive but a very profitable over time investment.
30% Day trading/quick investments. Coins with big announcements early on are super profitable, I bought into IOTA at $2 sold next day at $5.25 (Was only risking $500 but good profit)

These are more actual investments that I do then a if I had it scenario and not quite 10k but a good chunk. Only been doing it a couple weeks and made some serious profit. My advice to you would be to try and make back your starting cash (double up) then pull out half and if shit goes south at least you're not losing anything. Crypto is super risky but the return can out way the risk if you try to do your research. I wouldn't advise risking anything more then play around money.

If you are just starting out, I would have around 50-70% in BTC/ETH (whatever makes you feel more comfortable) and the rest in alts. Only invest in what you truly believe in.

70-100 percent in BCH (about 70 if you do not have any spare cash left, but if you do, then all of it).
A lot of people/businesses are switching from BTC to BCH due to its speed/fees, it is a very good long-term investment.

ehhh.... I think its a little to diverse..

    I would go

    60%BTC
    30%LTC
    10% ETH
    10%
---- whatever you wish and use it to mess around and get a feel for what you like. However, It looks like you know what you want, so that being said maybe since you have a lot of diversity, maybe you can bump these up.

    My Portfolio

    99.86ish LTC
    .14 BTC

This is not what most people do. I am a hardcore LTC bull, and probably the biggest on this site because I find 99% of the 1100 cryptos as either complete bullshit or just not good for the long run.

if you really want risk management, invest in LTC. It has yet to have a major dio, and breaks new highs every few months or so.

invest in coins that have companys backing them.

I cannot name a single failed coin with a reputable company that hasn't preformed well.

OMG, NEO, BTC, LTC, RIPPLE, ETH, STRAT, LUMEN, etc.

All have preformed well and all have major companys backing them, its when you invest into shit coins that have no legitmate backing u get burned(SIA(thank god I'm out), pump coins(weedcoin, transfercoin, pinkcoin, mooncoin, etc), are all extremely high risk.

Play it safe and invest in something reputable when the market is crashing, as a rule of thumb you will turn profit if u hold long enough. Not always but u stand a far better chance.

Thoughts on INS? probably the best team I have ever seen. Link in my signature. Multiple harvard grads and former Goldman employees.

however, I wanted to ask. Why NEO? I almost invested in it about 5 or so months ago, but it had a bad week and kinda just looked fast it. It was a little before the China FUD too. Do you think it will maintain a good market share when there is ETH and the new Cardano? From what I understand it is basically China's ETH?
