    Netflix Guide!

    Netflix Guide!

    Introduction-
In this guide I will be telling you everything that you ever may need to know about Netflix. If you don't already know it, Netflix is a company that allows you to get a huge variety of dvd's and tv shows by mail, or instantly on a Netflix ready device. In my guide we will be going over many things including: Which plan is best for you, Watching movies instantly, mailing, and much more. By the end of this guide hopefully you will be more educated on how netflix works, and maybe even influenced to get Netflix yourself!

[IMG]Which plan Is best for me?
While making your Netflix account you may be faced with this exact problem. Many people are not sure which plan they should get when, and I'm here to try and help you along your way. While choosing what plan you want to go with you will be greeted with a page similar to this:
Lets go over these categories and see which one fits you best.

1 DVD out at a time (Limited Plan)- If you don't want to spend alot of money, and you don't have a device that can watch Netflix movies instantly, then this is for you. Basically with this you will be getting one DVD at a time, and you won't be able to watch Netflix movies instantly (Unlike the unlimited plan). If you have a big family then I would not recommend getting this plan.

1 DVD out at a time (Unlimited Plan)-
This plan is basically the same as the last, except with this you will be able to watch movies instantly with a Netflix ready device. All of the devices compatible with Netflix include:
    -Ipod Touch
    -Iphone
    -IPad
-Many internet connected HD televisions (Click on link below for list)
    -Many internet connected Blu-Ray Players
    -Xbox 360
    -Wii
    -PlayStation 3
    Link-

If you have any of these devices then I would highlyrecommend you getting the unlimited plan. This allows you to watch hundreds of tv shows/movies instantly, and the best part is you stream them live so no downloading! Some people get worried about video quality while streaming the movies, but from my experiences the video quality is near perfect with no lag. This is the plan I have chosen.

-2 DVDs out at a time (unlimited)

This is a pretty good plan if you have a family of about 3-4 people, and like to watch movies. With this plan you will be sent two movies at a time, so if you have someone that wants to watch "Pineapple Express" and everyone else wants to watch "Ironman" everyone will end up happy. With this plan you will be able to get a little more of a variety then before, and also don't remember about the Instant feature that comes with it also.

-3 DVDs out at a time (Unlimited)
This is probably the highest I would advise going in the plans. Get this plan if you have a big family with people that don't agree well. With this plan you can get 3 DVDs out at a time plus instant features. If you have a family with say three younger kids 3-12, two teenagers 13-18 , and two adults you could get a DVD for the three groups. This way you don't have the younger kids watching violent movies, and the older people watching kid movies. The cost is not too bad, so if you feel this would suit you best then go ahead and get it.

-4 DVDs out at a time (Unlimited)
I would advise for you to not get this plan. It seems like it would be more of a waste of money then convenient. With this you would be able to get four whole movies out at a time, and instant features! If you really feel that you need this plan then go ahead, but I would suggest stopping at 3 DVDs a month.

    [IMG]Mailing
The ability to have movies mailed to you is a really nice feature. The whole process of mailing a movies usually only takes around 2-3 days, so that's a plus. The truth is alot of people aren't sure on how to get movies mailed, but it really is less complicated then you think. Since Netflix gets all of your address info when you first sign up, getting a movie sent to you is really only a click away.

    • First you go to Browse DVDs
    [IMG]

    • Then find a movie that you went to be sent to you and click "Add". Say I wanted to watch X-men Origins. All I would have to do is find the movie and click the add button under it like so:

After you click the "add" button all you have to do from then on is wait until the movie arrives. If you accidentally press the wrong button, don't worry because you can always change them in "Your Queue". The good thing about having "Your Queue" is that you don't have to keep going back to the website and ordering new movies after you send the one you have back. As long as you have alot of movies in your Queue it will keep sending them in the order that you put them there!

    [IMG] Watching Instantly

Watching movies instantly of a Netflix ready device is a great and easy feature. To add the Instant watch feature to one of your devices all you have to do is go to netflix and press the following:
    • Watch Instantly
    [IMG]
    • After going to that you go to the section called "Instantly to your TV"

Below I will be showing you the main device that people use to connect to Netflix with, and also the devise that I use. The Xbox 360
    Xbox 360:
To connect netflix to your Xbox 360, the first thing you need to do is go to Video marketplace. Make sure that you are connected to xbox live or this will not work. After going to Video Marketplace what you need to do is got to the left until you see Netflix. Hit the A button, and it should take you to a page that will let you download Netflix. Don't worry if you don't have much memory space on your Xbox, as it barely takes up any. After you have downloaded Netflix onto your Xbox 360 you need to go to you computer. After you are at your computer you need to enter the code you should be able to see on the page where it talks about activating Netflix on your Xbox. Enter the code obtained from you xbox into this website: http://www.netflix.com/Activate after entering your code, as long as you have the unlimited plan your Xbox should begin to connect with your netflix account. This should only take a moment, and after it is done you are free to go and watch all the movies you want!

    [IMG] Late return policies?
If you have ever seen a netflix commercial then you have probably heard about there no late return fee's. This is just one of the many great features that Netflix has. The way that this works is that if you have the 1 DVD out at a time then you can keep that one dvd they send to you for as long as you want, and then after you send the DVD back the will send you the next DVD in your Queue. This works the same way as you go up to the 2 DVD limit plan, 3 DVD limit plan, etc. After you have finished watching the movie, and you are ready to return it all you have to do is put it back in its case and send it back. After they get they get the movie back they will start sending your next one. If you are not sure what the Netflix DVD comes in, then here is a picture to show you basically what you will be receiving:

    Netflix Guide!

I have to be honest, when I first seen "Netflix Guide", I said Jesus you put your credit card in and you watch movies, not that hard.
But after lookin' at the guide it's pretty damn good dude.

I've had Netflix for over a year now, and never knew I could watch on my iPhone, thanks.

One thing you kinda' left out was the "Add to Instant Queue".
It really wasn't needed, but would look good in the Queue Part of your guide.
just to remind User's that if they're browsing and see something they like, but don't want to watch then, add it to instant queue and watch it later.

but, the guide was good, well written, and the pic's are helpful too.

    Netflix Guide!

Hey. This is a pretty nice guide you got goin' on here. It looks like you have spent a lot of time writing it out and making it looks good. I'll go ahead and start with a few positive things that I liked about your guide and go on and tell you how you could've improved it.

First off, you've picked an interesting topic to write on (at least in my opinion). I liked the way you organized this guide to make it look better and easier to read. The introduction at the top was a very smart idea as some people don't have the slightest clue as to what Netflix is. Something I didn't know about what the different plans that you have the option of choosing from. You did a nice job explaining and listing these different options. Good choice of pictures, not overly messy, and straight to the point.

Now I know this is one of the pickiest things to choose from from the whole guide, but spacing seems to be somewhat of an issue. I think you can and should have spaced some of the different options and steps. A good guide uses bullet points and not lists when hyphens. It'll make the guide look a bit more professional.

I know you're already a UE, but there's always room for change, and I honestly hope you take my feedback into consideration. If you need help expanding this guide or just have a question, you have my MSN. Cheers.
