    WiFi help! reward!

Okay so my dad hasn't payed our internet bill for the past couple weeks because I got in trouble. I've been stealing wifi from my neighbor. It's been fi e since then but this morning it would say connected with limited access. I thought it might be something blocking the signal but I don't what. It shows as full bars but won't work. So I go to the sidewalk on the side of my house qnd start walking towards his house. With my iphone it shows full bars then says unable to connect until i reach a certain part of my house in my backyard, closer to their house. I just don't know what it is. One time during the day it connected but was 1 bar so went really slow and would disconnect then reconnect. After awhile I restarted my computer and it didnt work. Yeah so if anyone can help Ill give them a couple dollars off paypal when I return. Also th router they are using is linksys. this is off my iphone so forgive me for errors

It's because the modem has disconnected from the router and though signals are still coming from the router, the internet is not connected. There's nothing you can do to fix it without them fixing it themselves.

Either this, or they've smartened up and enabled mac address filtering, meaning you can still connect but are not allowed to use the internet. ^^

Both MegaMatt and CP have good points. I would think that their internet is having problems, and you should wait a while, they'll probably have it back in a bit if it is having problems. What else you could do is go around a popular place, and look for WiFi signals, and just use those for awhile.

Its most likely what Matt said. The chances of someone putting mac address filtering on their network is pretty uncommon, simply because most people put passwords on, as it is a lot easier than mac address filtering.

Just give it a couple days, until they figure out they cant connect and run some troubleshooting steps.
