    Empowering Women and Politics

One of the MDGs is about gender equality and empowering women. My question is how do we encourage more women to enter the world of politics? Studies have shown that women are more likely to get involved in politics if they are involved from a young age.

    What are your thoughts?*

I don't think women should get involved in politics...

Only joking, truth Is I don't care. But looking at studies of male and female brains, women have a lot different decision making process, that may not be good for how some things work.

If politics requires more sandwich making.

While in truth I am joking, politics is currently a very male dominated world and it is extremely hard to make it as a woman. Way to make it more woman friendly? I am not sure, because politics isn't a very friendly place to start with. I think getting women like Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin out of the public spotlight because they're giving women politicians a bad name. There needs to be more women like Gabby Gifford (SP?) or more intelligent and strong women in politics to start with.

Well, I think there are women interested in politics.

What I see, is that women are less likely to be corrupt, which is why they're never put in office. The people in office already want someone they can be buddies with and help each other out.
