Why Runescape 2007 Will Flop
I gave the servers months because of the cancelation of joining rsc. not many are going to want to play a game that doesn't really matter My guess is when the economy dies to the bots the servers will die as well and it wont be long before jagex slowly removes them as they did with the rsc servers [ which only lasted months maybe a year or 2 [ its been a while lol] before they started killing it.

and rsc\rs2 were completely different even more than eoc to the 07 servers, you had to stay in combat for 3 rounds, items\skills\training in general became extremely easy combat triangle got totally ruined with rs2 as well as well as ranging you use to have to be at a distance from your opponent and many other things.

07 only had a bigger base because
A. its picked up all the ex rsc players as well as new ones over the years
B. botting was very heavy back then and most were botters\multi accounts

you do realize that we have 18% [136k votes] needed and day 2 of 14 is just now getting over within a hour or 2 of this post right? at this rate even if there is a decent drop in votes we will get the whole 750k votes but thats not likely to happen for a few days because there are many people who haven't even logged on to see the poll yet as its only the second day.

and no gold farmers are you kidding me? if there is money to be made there will definitely be gold farmers\bots look at wow the botters on there pay 15-20$ [dunno exact price] per month and make no more than your average runescape botter. and a fyi there aren't that many chineese gold farmer companies most own multiple websites and try to set the price of gold. The others are sites from people on sites like sythe that sell gold I myself back when it was more profitable ran a bot farm of over 100 accounts.

and to show it will be profitable: bot making 300k\hr running 12hr a day = 3.6m per day times that by 30 days and you get 108m which when sold for .25 is more than enough to cover the fees of membership + put a few dollars in their pocket.

First, I don't understand why you can't do basic math, but we ARE NOT GETTING 750K VOTES! We got around 35k today. Lets say that we get 35k for the remaining 12 days, which we won't. 350000*12=420,000. Add that to the current total and you still don't have 750k. 750k in 2 weeks would require an average of about 54k votes a day. I really don't understand why you seem to think that some 600k people have not logged on to vote.

So for the rest of my post, I will be assuming that there will be no f2p.

Next, how do you assume goldfarmers will make 300k/hour? They only make that 300k if someone is willing to buy whatever they are farming (e.g. yews, sharks, cow hides, etc.). For the first month or two, no one will have that kind of money. Furthermore, botting WoW =/= botting Runescape. In the long term, Runescape is not as profitable and has a much, much smaller market. If Chinese goldfarmers do decide to appear, it will not be for months. By that time, there is a good chance that the 2007 version will not even be as popular.

RS2 was a legit upgrade from RSC. EoCscape turned the game into something completely different.

If there are still thousands of people playing 2006/2007 RS remakes that are full of bugs, ran by abusive admins and suffer from down time because of the server being DDoSed, Jagex servers aren't going to die very quickly at all.

RS2 was actually good (no eoc) when RSC was joinable, so not many people played RSC when everyone was on RS2, and it was actually good. Now, RS2 isn't good so most veterans will be on the 2007 server. There's a complete difference between RSC and the '07 server.

This^ I know ill play 07 alot and starting from fresh is awesome!
