why is the rs3 economy so messed up?

it seems like it's imposible to make money anymore! i dont want to be having to by all my rsgp and i can't do high end pvm

 

The raw material market on RS3 was made up of an army of goldfarmers for a decade. This let legitimate players get their skills like herblore, prayer, smithing, etc up for relatively cheaply for so long. Because players were able to get things like turmoil and overloads to kill bosses easier, since boss killing is basically the only thing that people couldn't goldfarm, it's the only thing that sustained decent gp/hour for real players.

 

Also if you train your skills like they're meant to be trained back in the day when they were created and not buy them like some newfag sob you can even make money training mining and smithing together, or fishing and cooking together, or even do various methods such as kingdom + mage + construction for low costs or sell the planks for money and get mage xp.

If you look at any Ironman thread youll basically see that they end up gaining billions of gp by training the skills the way they're meant to be trained instead of buying resources off the GE for maximum xp per hour.

Take some essential (not all of course) but essential things from the ironman people as advice and youll find yourself training skills and spending no money.

For myself I did 1-99 crafting with actual profit, train RC with crafting ess instead of runespan and youll make 150M+ etc.

 

Lets not forget alching. Just threw gold into the economy at ridiculous rates

 

Your better off buying it, bossing for money then selling all your gold when you decide to quit, and hopefully your profits from bossing will pay off the loss from gold merchers.

 

^ This is true. 50m costs like $25 even at a terrible price, but making 50m from scratch on RS3 would take a very long time.

 

I think that now there is too many gold buyers/sellers in RS, now half of people just try to get money from buying/selling, but they didnt do anything in game. Another reason is graphics, some people left RS only for this. And now as we can see, Jagex make updates to get money, he added bonds, rune coins and etc. Which you need to buy for dollars and maybe get mills in game.

 

Too many rich players. Too much RWT. This inflates prices of all the good gear and your average legitimate Joe has to slave for hours doing repetitive tasks to make as much money as the RWT'ers.

 

I actually did frost dragons for the first time today with a pretty basic setup and not even maxed melee and was able to make about 3m/hr. Obviously that's nowhere near as IRL earnings, because that's like $1 an hour paying job... but if you really don't want to buy your gold, frostys

 

So would you recommend frostys as the most efficient cash maker?
