You can call paypal and ask them to reverse the money.
If that person was a Sythe member and you have proof, post it in RaS section so he can be banned.

Got scammed - What do now?

Thanks, but he just msned me using an alias similiar to the mm.nick and sent me his page

and in yahoo and most other msns rnm.nick looks ALOT like mm.nick
and i had no experience with a doppelganger scammer haha so he used a popular person as a kind of credibility to get me to send him money first. It's not alot of money haha but damnit.

So if send to him as payment owed, then call paypal, then may be able to get the money back to me?

ya call paypal and see if they can reverse the payment you may not get the full amount of money back as paypal may take out some fees for recovering it for you.

Are you verified? If so, you need to call paypal ASAP so they don't go under suspicion of a hacked/scammed Paypal account. Do not mention it is for a Virtual membership for the game of Runescape, they will deny it because there was an influx of people stealing credit cards the past year, and over $23million was scammed by credit card fraud used on WoW buying sites alone, which are moving into the Runescape area because there is money to be made there. Be careful in your wording, and like i said DO NOT include it is for a virtual membership. Say it was for a $10 ebay bucks card which you paid $6 for, if that is the actual amount you sent. They're a off-cut of the Ebay market and are insured by Ebay so yeah.

    EDIT: Any questions? [email protected]

Also, if you are not verified.. you can still call but sometimes they don't like it when a paypal account is like, created within a week.. then used once for 1 pmnt and sending.. then closed/not used. Take all of these things into account when going to apply for a refund. Also, If you can get that Msn "[email protected]" to login to a Runescape account, change the pw quick and get his ip. I can follow through from there, send it to me. Also paypal will send a letter to his house, most likely to his parents.

These statements are incorrect, you'll receive all of your money back, including the... I believe it is $0.06 fee for sending it as payment owed.
