Why I think No Man's Sky is bad and the reasons I am cancelling my PC pre-order

After spending 10+ hours playing No Man's Sky, I came to the conclusion to cancel my pre-order for the PC variant. Why you ask? Let me explain.

My first point I can explain in one word: variety, or should I say the lack of. You go from one planet to another hoping to discover some cool new stuff and what do you find, the same creature with a different name and a different color. One could argue that this is acceptable because "Hello Games only got a limited amount of supplies and time", but did you take a look at the other aspects? For one, the interaction with the creatures. You can make them shit some items by feeding them, spot resources for you (which is useless) or fight their same boring fight mechanic. It isnt only the creatures as well, you go from one planet to the other and all that changed are small color changes. I mean, seriously? They should have marketed NMS as "18 quintillion almost similar planets".

Besides, on the PS4 No Man's Sky looks absolutely terrible. Textures that would have fit well if the game was released 5 years ago and a terrible field of view being the main points. One could argue that the game looks 'ok' on a few occasions, and I agree, on just a few. The PC version might be better but I am not taking that risk. Another point is just the gameplay itself. You cant fly low over planets, the space between planets makes you feel like you are in a pool and the crafting system is simply boring. There is one thing I must add though, the music is good.

    TL;DR
Not worth 60$ by a long shot, either buy it when it is at a serious discount or dont buy it at all.

I'd consider buying it for $20 but $60 is a joke lol

Yeah the gameplay at its core is repetitive and un-engaging, glad I didn't pre-order as well. Frankly disappointing that the devs built up so much hype and delivered the game like this.

So after like 7 hours of playing the game when it came out on pc, and explored like 50+ planets, they seem pretty similar hahaha, but idk, we're no where near the center, maybe thats where all the cool stuff is, I did however run into a pretty cool planet that had so many animals everywhere and flying animals too, was pretty cool, but that was it lol everything else was the same. Idk, I still have a little faith, maybe the center is where they actually made the planets themselves and not computer generated o.o
