Why EpicBot/Dark-Bot are the best

Conversation between me and Eran of DarkBot (partner/customer support/'Super Mod' of EpicBot).

Great business model. Aggressive and off-the-chain.

 

You have to remember these kind of sites are owned and staffed by teenage gamers, not professional customer service representatives.

I've been turned off by the attitude of a lot of the botting sites as well unfortunately.

 

^ What he said. Although, I don't think that's an excuse for that kind of disrespectful attitude. That was just ridiculous to read.

 

I am not Eran but i am part of EpicBot and was passed this information:

This user was added to skype by Eran to directly help him (hes currently a free user not a paying customer) to directly help him with a linux issue that was probably something on his end but nonetheless Eran was going to help him.

Second day he asks for an ability to run more than 4 bots on a bot that is in BETA. Eran proclaims he stated that he might be a gold farmer to be running that much on a beta tested bot. There is no other legitimate reason to be doing that other than what Eran says is abusing the bot / beta bot. The script he is using is PRO fighter which is for testing abilities not to exploit for this much gain and then try to get more abuse out of it. This user then said "its a bot what do you expect?" clearly not understanding that EpicBot does stop free users at 4 bots to prevent such people like this.

In short: This guy is a free user who expected Eran to bend the rules or help him get around the 4 bot limit fore free users (not customers - customers are paid users). User claimed he can go to another bot and Eran said go ahead. Eran went out of his way (by adding this guy on skype) to help him with installation and setup, not to help him gold farm in Darkscape. He felt "offended" by being what was apparently obvious because no one has any legitimate reason to run more than 1 account unless they are doing it for gold farming or something of the sort. EpicBot has always believed in an even playing field where users can enjoy our products. This user is testing a FREE product and still attempting to milk more out of us. He is NOT a customer of EpicBot at all and Eran went out of his way to work out his issues untl it turned out he's just a gold farmer.

www.dark-bot.com is the best bot. EpicBot customer support is top notch. Here is a screenshot Eran passed on to show that honest users who need help always get the help they insist. This was from today:


I only work as a low-level and have no power there but I do know that they do answer all topics and do help. My job is to do that as well but Eran has no tolerance for people who gold farm (i know this personally) so yeah. You were added to get help not to help abuse the system (which is how I understood it).

note; i did not read the conversation. feel free to comment back but note that i do not speak for eran I can only see it from the perspective of himself.

 

Edit: skimmed through the conversation and to be honest calling someone who runs more than 1 bot a gold farmer is not necessarily inaccurate to be honest. its a good assumption that anyone looking to get past the free limit for FREE users who have already EXCEEDED the limitations put in are looking to do it for profit/gold farm. This entire post is a disgruntled free user who was trying to just milk the system.

If anyone is calling anyone disrespectful names it would be this person. I did see him refer to Eran as "idiot" and "disgusting" so if anything should be alarming its your lack of respect for somebody who is there to help you but is not going to help you break the rules / bend the rules / profit off something that is released for free (for testing purposes).

 

Dark Bot, you're only showing more immaturity. I don't expect anything from these botting sites, but I'll speak generally.

He made it clear he was training up accounts, not necessarily for gold farming. The first misstep was accusing him even after he clarified. It helps nothing to speak negatively directly to a user for asking a question.

When you're acting as customer support you help both currently paying and potential customers with their issues. He did not ask for an exploit to get around your built in mechanisms, he asked how to run more bots. If the answer is that it isn't currently available, but will be a paid option shortly that would be the appropriate response. The reason the customer was frustrated was because of the incompetence of your support.

If that was a regular company they'd have certainly lost my business for their lack of support and professionalism. But again, its a runescape botting site. So my answer is the same, not much you can really do about it OP.

 

In regards to the user Dark Bot;

You're either lying or you've been lied to. I've been using Dark-bot for over a month now, actively participating in bug reports (the only one btw) and I asked Eran/Huan to help me with my Linux VPS problem an entire month ago. I also lent my VPS account with money on it for them to test if they wished. Regardless, I moved on from the VPS's and asked Eran if I could PAY (you obviously haven't even read the chat) and he laughed at me, and gave me the worst attitude I've ever had from someone who was supposed to be customer support. I feel bad for you, because you have to defend his actions, but wow, read the Skype chats I provided. The fact that he called me a 'goldfarmer,' 'leech,' 'cheat,' and a 'abuser' multiple times after I explained to him that I just wanted to train accounts just goes to show Eran is off the chain.

First i have shown no immaturity i am not Eran nor am I a super moderator. Second he is still looking to get around the 4 user for a free user limit. He is training those accounts for some reason so logically it is to be for profit/gold farm (I think anyone with a brain can deduct that conclusion regardless of him saying "its to train accounts"... yeah so you need to train 8 accounts for fun? Sorry no.

You can say what you want all I know is legitimate customers (free and paid) who do not want to abuse their system get the help they wish for. You can check out EpicBot at http://www.epicbot.com and check it out for yourself. I know EpicBot has the best products out there and customer support is great... I honestly think this user got mad that they could not force Eran to give them a way to run more or help them gold farm/make profit. He was there to help diagnose his Linux issue not to help game the system for $$$.

 

@Radical all I see is you calling him names that are degrading (such as idiot / disgusting) and him calling you a gold farmer (which is probably right judging by your botting requests/behavior).

The options are simple though: use a different client if you feel you were mistreated so badly and disrespected because you were called a gold farmer (mind you, while wanting to run a massive amount of bots) on a free/beta testing script.

 

@DarkestDream milking the system is more geared towards the users who stay free and expect to game the system to bypass the limitations put in place. They already offer solid and updated working scripts for free and now you want more out of that? I do not have any sympathy here since I understand what happened and what this user was trying to do.

He basically tried to threaten Eran after not getting his way for more bots for free by posting on here. 99.9% of the customers and users on EpicBot have no problem. This is the first and only complaint I have seen!

 

The way you're acting here towards a user complaint tells me everything I need to know.

His question was not 'How do I exploit the system to run extra bots.' It was 'How do I run more than 4 bots?' The only acceptable answer is pointing him in the right direction.

Even if I take your point at face value and assume that he wanted to gold farm on a free account. Calling him a leech, cheat, milking the system, abuser is completely unprofessional and not how you handle a situation like that.

 

The conversation should've ended after he said it's not available right now because it's in beta format. He shouldn't have accused you for gold farming, but it was a reasonable guess. Respect is a two way street. Don't expect his attitude to get any better when you're flaming him. There is no need to drag this issue on as this thread was initially made to elicit a negative response from another user over a silly claim. Any other DarkBot issue regarding access to their content should be handled on their website, not here.
