Why does my MSN always lose connection?

My MSN always loses connection for like 10 seconds and then it reconnects. It does this every 10-30 minutes and it's bothering me. This has been happening for the last 3 days.

Help?

 

Hmm.. It could be your Internet provider/router.

Are you connection wirelessly? If so, are you far from the router?

 

Yeah I'm connected via WiFi and the router is in my room and I'm in the living room.

 

That's the problem then.

You've got a shitty router, which loses connection now and then.

 

I've had that router for 3 years now and it's just been this week where I've been experiencing this problem.

If not that, then it's just your Internet provider experiencing some difficulties with connection.

Try and ring up and ask them? They'll probably tell you it's your router.

 

Yea.. that's what my isp usually tells every time I have a complaint. (I'm always right.) and after a day or three they'll discover that I'm right.

@OP, is this just msn, or is this everything?
Also, you always signed into hotmail? (mail inbox?)
If no, what does wireshark say?

Also, you may use wireshark to see if your router is doing it's job,.. I need the wireshark output to give you *specific* advice, if it's a faulty router you could, most of the time, force the connection.
