Yah that should be fine for you. ASUS are a very good brand.

Although you should consider a desktop man, they're tonnes better.

Oh and, fuck that BullGuard Antivirus shit, get yourself a copy of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 while you're at it too.

Nah I'd prefer to move about with a laptop, I know desktops are better but I'd rather not be stuck in our room while I play on it..

    Easy mate.

Also, don't worry about any of that antivirus crap, just get Microsoft Security Essentials + Malware Bytes.

I already have kaspersky at home, it can be used on 3 computers and I've only used it on one, so.. Yeah :p
    I'm sorted on that.

Going to buy that laptop now I think :)

Don't do it! The 610M is a pretty shitty card. It's probably not going to run WoW on good settings.

Jason my old Nvidia 9600 GT could run WoW fine on decent settings, and that model is way behind the 610M... It depends if he's looking to max it or not.

And Shoop make sure you get good cooling for it, otherwise it'll only last you two years max with the over-heating.

    Don't buy it?? :S

    Da fuq is happening?
Been trying to buy a new laptop for ages, I was going to buy that but.. :/
I probably won't run things on max settings anyway, I'm not too fussy on graphics, unless it's just ridiculous to look at it. It won't over heat if I use rubbish settings, right?

1.Way too overpriced for a GeForce 610 Laptop, get an ASUS G74 or save some money and get that G75 :D

agreed, you are paying FAR too much for the laptop you are looking at...considering its internals. it may be able to play wow with decent settings, but it wont be able to play any modern games over the min settings.

I'm pretty sure the 9600 gt is quite a bit faster than a 610m. Just because it's newer doesn't mean it's better.

    Good gaming laptop?

I am from the UK... So I can't buy from the US.

US sites are a HELL OF A LOT cheaper, but I can't buy from them..

Also the G74 has worse specs.. :/

Well what's your max budget? Bear in mind it's gonna be quite hard to find a laptop with a decent GPU that isn't going to be above £1,000 (hints at desktops)

    Good gaming laptop?

I think starting from 510 to 540 and then from 610 to 540 is the notebook based range. The 550 - 590 and 650 - 690 are more powerful than the notebook ones. I personally have a 560 ti in mine, and it's pretty good. But yeah the higher the number the better, depending which range you're looking that.

Again, you really would benefit from a desktop man, especially in terms of price and stuff.
