Thinking of quiting runescape

With this new update which will blow and also how Grindy the game is its pushing me to quit

What keeps you playing?

 

The money, All I do is Farm gold now so the only time I play the game is to sell.

 

Nothing keeps me playing. Unless Jagex were to throw in blue skin ( -nudges Jagex- ).

I don't know what update you're referring to... the upcoming bot nuke?

 

No combat update

 

The combat update is the only thing that might revitalize my interest in this game. I would wait till the beta release if I was you

 

Wait - you do not like the combat update? I haven't really checked it out, but how would making the animations better (I assume) make you not want to play?

 

The way there changing it because making pures was really the only thing I enjoyed...

 

That actually does seem interesting that they're going to calculate combat level through different means... I wonder how exactly. I guess I can see your point.

However, I read that they'll be doing more for the combat triangle, which means more magic options and since I love magic, I love that part of the update.

Still, I'm not going to play RS any time soon =p.

Just play out of nostalgia these days. I've been playing for 10 years now.. Some of the kids playing these days weren't even born then lol.

I have a couple of friends still actively playing but most people only come back during summer breaks or when they have some free time.

If you can quit, by all means go for it. I still remember the days of no lifing with a bunch of friends...rarely do that these days now especially with my schedule as is and the fact that there are more fun things to do when you go out...lol.

 

This is exactly my life, haha!

I have been playing so long now, nothing Jagex does really pushes me away from the game.

I have some friends to play with, during the summer, etc. That is a big part of me playing, if i didn't have friends to play with i do believe my time in RuneScape would have ended a long time ago.

As for what i do in RuneScape to keep me playing, i just skill on my skiller.

 

I think friends is really the hugest motivator for what keeps you going when you're playing/skilling. I think I got pulled into the game (during my addiction phase) because I met a lot of friends, and they played A LOT. Plus, I didn't want to miss out on the no-lifing for DG especially with floors under 20 min (we'd alternate keyers after a few floors each time). It was so much fun with friends back in the day.

But now, I just play more out of skilling, sometimes chatting to old friends about non-RS related things/how everyone's doing/reminiscing about the old days, lol. Makes me feel old sometimes.

 

What keeps me playing is my goal of reaching 1b+
I keep getting cleaned though, i get cleaned 4 times a week sometimes up to 8..
But i never give up :l

You should atleast see what Jagex's grand goal brings to the game before quitting. You never know, it might be a breath of fresh pixel air in Runescape.

What keeps me playing is my friends and Sythe

 

I can't even skill if i don't have any friends on, that is how bad RuneScape has gotten for me. If i didn't have any friends who still played i would have a life, haha. It is so bad old RuneScape friends i've known since RSC have my phone number and text me on a daily basis!

 

What keeps me playing is the fact that they are still releasing big updates like this, reviving skills like Runecraftibng and stuff like fixing the fps issues.

I get it mad.. It's pretty BS, i agree. But i still think we should stick it out until the update actually happens. Nobody can be sure on whats to happen. They could asbolutly make RS shit, or it could be decent. To me as you said.. it's kind of a decision as to if i keep playing or not.

 

people are so stupid talking shit about updates that havent happened yet. All we know is what they tell us and honestly it sounds as though the game may get a whole lot better . WTG talking shit about a game on a fansite though, since you value your time over playing rs to post and whine about rs .. that makes alot of since.

 

What keeps me playing are Rare names, nothing else.

The combat update will just make me completely stop playing and only go on for names.
