Why do people scratch out skills?

On pictures, why is it that sometimes a skill will have the last digit marked over? Can jagex find the account by using the skills, fairly easily?

 

So jagex doesn't look them up and ban them

 

Jagex doesnt take the time to look up the accounts -.-

There is no proof that the actual owner is really selling it.

It could be a stolen account even possibly.

 

Because if JaGex come onto this site and look through the accounts that are being sold, they can just check which items have the same stats and items as the accounts being sold here and ban them.

 

can jagex detect our IPs who is on this website, and keep a closer look on the accounts under that IP, or can they not see it at all?

 

It's answered. Though, they can't ban them based on a picture of skills. They could have stolen the picture/etc.

 

To rhodesy: No, they have no way of checking your IP's. Only moderators and administrators here have access to your IP addresses.
