Why cant we edit thread names?

Just a question.. For example if I wanted to rename this thread "Why can't we edit thread names after posting?" I'd have to report it to someone with authority.

 

Avoids people scamming then changing the title of their thread to claim innocence but also moderator privileges are a bundle meaning if we let people change their thread title I think they'd get other things as well.
