Video of the week [READ]

I'll probably be starting this up soon (maybe this week), basically there'll be a thread each week where you can submit your favorite LoL related video (of any type, instructional/funny/stream-related/etc). We'll then post a poll and the winner will be added to the "Video of the Week" archive thread, which will also be stickied. Format is tentative.

Thoughts on this idea? Thoughts on potential prizes? Will you guys be interested in participating in this? Questions? Post here.

 

There's so much videos coming out per week that it wouldn't make things fair. If anything, it should be your own video that you post and people rate.

Prizes would be unfair as well if you choose to go with your suggestion. Whoever first post the viral video that's going around about LoL wins.

Something with top 5 plays of Sythe users or funny video about something that the user has found. IT HAS TO BE THE USER'S OWN SUBMISSION, NOT ANYONE ELSE (If prize is involve)

 

I agree with Dragon Balls. I think you should use your own clips, however, there may not be an abundance of them.

I like the idea alot, and i'd be up for it. For prizes, if there were a sponsor(s) then maybe RP cards, but either a mini rank or the contest winner rank would be cool to have.

Great idea in theory Nick, however there are literally thousands of videos made daily. What happens if two people chose the same video? I don't think it would work out in reality as planned.

 

First to post the video = the only one who can enter the video in. I thought of having people post their own video clips, but there are varying skill levels (so the best diamond players might dominate the scene), and there's not even a mac lolreplay

Also, I don't see many people taking the time to upload their own clips to the competition. I'd rather just allow any videos to be posted, max 5 minutes or so

 

I'm willing to give it a go. You can count me in.

 

To be frank to your responds Superman, you already should know that most videos that will be posted are usually seen already if we're going toward your idea.

It doesn't necessarily have to be based on skill level. Gold, sliver and even bronze has their own plays as well (Being honest, Diamond probably won't win since there's more ways to make a play in lower level aka more mistakes). Remember that it could be a funny video or idea video as well.

 

I forgot to put in that they're supposed to be recent (from that week or, perhaps a week before). Otherwise people could enter in any random high-viewed video, haha.
