Is it too late to start learning a Martial Art?

I've always wanted to learn some form of martial art, mainly for the sport of it. However I feel like it's something I should have started at a younger age because by now, people my age (17 years old) will have much more experience and could kick my ass easily at competitions or something. Is too late for me to start? Or are there different classes or something that I can join

 

You don't need to start at competitions to learn a martial art. You can start at any age.

 

Theres tons to learn, Muay Thai, Jiu Jutsu, Kick-boxing, boxing, Karate and Sambo + even more. Its never too late to start, and it all depends on talent, even if they have practiced it more, that doest mean you cant excel past them.

Look at GsP, he started wrestling MUCh later than Koscheck(started at 5-6), and hes shown he could easily wrestle with him and even dominate Koscheck at time.

yea its too late tbh, but you should be thankfull that you didnt learn it, coz that had a reason.

 

Well, why do you want to learn it in the first place? To compete in competitions? If so, then yes, its too late. If you want to learn for self defense or exercise or something... then its never too late.
