Death penalty

What is your opinion on death penalty? Personally I support it, but only in certain situations. Only for people who killed other people (obviously not in self defence). People like terrorists and mass murderers should get it.

I live in norway. I think we are way too kind and soft up here. The max prison sentence is 21 years and all prisoners have the right to get their own cell with a TV, playstation etc. Some of you might remember Anders Behring Breivik the mass murderer that killed 69 people (33 under 18 years old) in 2011. He currently has 3 cells on his own as they cant let him be with other prisoners as they would most likely kill him. Now he has the nerve to sue the country norway for breaking the human rights. His arguments were "I got the same dinner two days in a row" and "I currently have a ps3 but I want a ps4". Makes me fucking pissed. I wish people like that would get the death sentence. And feel free to add in a little torture before they kill him.

I personally hate the death penalty. Like i understand that we save like millions as tax payers not having a guy rot in jail for life. I just believe if you raped and murdered 30 fucking children death is too nice of a consequence for you. death is easy if your a fucking sicko like that especially the way they do it. One second your alive next your alseep forever no pain. You barely know any better. Let the fucker rot. Give him shitty fucking barely passing health standards sludge(food). Dont even give the fucker a mattress and put him in a cell with the biggest family loving bad asses you can find.

TLDR Death is too easy punish the mother fuckers make him suffer. Needle in the arm then lights out is not harsh enough.


OFC this is my opinion and i don't believe in an afterlife. I'm sure you'll disagree with me if you believe in hell or someshit.

Things like terrorism / mass murder is only really what would warrant the death penalty in my eyes. Sure people say to keep them alive and torture then, but it's not going to bring the people who died back to life and regardless of what happens to the person - what's done is done. If they're dead, we're not wasting resources on them to keep them alive and well.

 

This is the opinion I'd vote for if it came down to FTR because it does make much more sense. Just such a shame someone who might have caused that much pain gets such an easy out.

 

Personally for me, I don't need moral bullshit like "its not enough suffering for them". The way I see it is child predators need to go and I don't believe in spending money for a sick minded individual to "think" about his/her crimes. Can't change someones sexual orientation, best you can do is teach em how to control it. But in my mind its better safe than sorry.

Usually I'm an open minded person, but when it happens to someone you know and you see how their life turned out because of it.... makes you want to be the one who gets to set the needle in place.

Looks like you're a victim of media / society brainwashing. The majority of people attracted to children would never actually hurt them, but I guess it's difficult to change what you've been taught your whole life. Also, you always hear stories of people who were abused when they were younger and had a horrible experience. You never see news stories or whatnot about people who had a positive / neutral experience do you (they exist)? Why'd you think that is?

It's no different to the whole "drugs are bad, don't do drugs" nonsense they teach in schools these days. Just the government making you think what they want you to (not saying I hate governments in general, just the way it is).

Apparently here in the US it costs millions to fight for the death penalty in court or something like that? Ends up being nearly the same cost.

Without consideration for much of anything, I would personally be against the death penalty. We live in a civilized world without need for such. Go back 1000 years and I'd say we should shove a sword through some peoples face, but now there's no need for that.

 

Definitely would not consider myself brainwashed. The act of doing so (at least in my formulated opinion) is where the line is crossed for me. Once someone loses control once, I feel as if they're way more likely to resubmit to their urge. Never in my life have I heard of a positive experience so I decided to glance over it, and after probably 10 minutes of research, I concluded from everyones "statistics" majority have no "effects" at all. And those who had negative or positive experiences are generally the same rate. To me for a grown man to be attracted and want to have intercourse with young woman who isn't even developed to have children yet is fucking sick (excuse my language). Its a moral issue with me (not due to any religious affiliation), then again everyones morals differ.

That being said, my main motive behind it is a hatred. Someone in my family was a A honor student with a full ride to an Ivy League school (for those of you who don't know majority don't accept loans for payment, to be coming where she is coming from is more than just a major success) to being to afraid to show her face. To the point she moves out of state. To the point she dropped out her last semester of senior year in high school because of fear. And no one should have to live like that. ever.

So biased, yes my opinion could very much be seen as that. But brainwashed not so much. I'm the type who doesn't even believe the food pyramid here in America is correct.

Some of you guys are seriously messed up. No matter what a person has done, everyone has the right to life. If that life is a shitty hell in prison most will take there own life anyway. However laws should not determine whether you live or die, rather just how you live...

Wanting a serial child murder rapist to suffer a little rotting in jail and not just get to be put to sleep peacefully after ruining so many lifes and familys doesn't make me that sick. (albeit it does make me a little sick but i can also watch a beheading and not cringe that bad so i already kinda knew that.)

Honestly i think the people standing up for a stain like that are the sick ones.

It's like you can relate or something and would want people to give you a second chance when you do it.

 

I don't think its worth it letting a guy that killed 69 innocent people, almost half under the age of 18, get 3 cells, ps3 and a computer. He costs the goverment millions per year. Waste of money imo.
