What is the proper term for money?

What is the proper term for money in RuneScape?

Is it gold? Or GP? Or simply money? What do most people call it?

 

I think gp in runescape terms...although you can call it gold....or money...but i think in runescape terms the term for money is gp.(gold pieces)

 

I guess GP is used the most on runescape.

 

I've seen people use cash, money, etc., but it might be confusing to some. I'd use gold or GP personally.

 

I always say "rs cash" but i occasionally use GP

When I played I always used "GP" the only people who used "Gold" were the people selling/buying it.

 

GP is the correct term. You can call it whatever you want though lol.

You can just call it money though or cash.

k is the abbreviation for kilo meaning one thousand.
To say that something is 500k gp is to say that it's 500,000 gold pieces.

 

I've always saw it called "Gp" Like i have 10 gp.

I only use gold when trying to buy gold off other players in the black market.

 

Technically speaking, the correct term would be "coins" - since that's the name of the actual currency.

I refer to it as gold all the time though.

 

I say GP when talking about low amounts like 500gp.

But if we are talking about buying expensive items, i just say I'd give 500k or 2mil etc. Don't really use any term when in high amounts.

 

I'm probably the only one who does this, but I always say "k".

Like if I was buying a tenderbox, and it cost, idk, 30gp, I would say buying tenderbox .30k. Just always how I do it. :idea:

 

GP has been the term longest used, standing for Gold Pieces. I just say 150k cash however, because alot of people seem to ignore when I say 150k gp and trade me items.

Sorry, but that makes you sound kinda stupid :X 30k means 30,000 gp/cash/whateveryoucallit.

 

'Coins' is the most correct term as that is the currency.
GP/Gold/cash are some comment terms used as well.
