Who are/were you in highschool?

Pretty simple question, we all knows there are cliques in highschool. Jocks, preps, dorks, goths, skaters, and ect. But my question is where do/did you fit in?

I go to a pretty diverse school, a lot of hispanics and blacks, still more caucasians then anything. I don't really fit in anywhere, I'm one of those nobody people. Just kind of drift around, hang out with whomever I end up being friends with. I hang out with skaters most prominently, some thieves too, though I dont fit into either of those groups at all. Closer to being A dork then anything, just by class behavior and grades. I don't really hang out with the dorks though.

 

Uhh. I was just myself. I didn't have tooo many friends and just hung out with a few people and smoked a lot of pot. I had good grades though and yeah.

 

I was a prep. Love shopping, always getting new clothes, and shoes. Now that I am graduated, and make all my own money I have all polo items. Rings, shirts, shoes, suits, pants, and anything new they come out with I pre-order.

 

I agree with the first dude and I still am that kid. I talk to a whole lot of people but I mainly hangout with a small group of friends.

 

im more of a skater/stoner than anything lol.

 

I was very lucky, as my school was not really full of groups or cliques. Everybody mostly got along with everybody else and it was very easy to kind of bounce around between different groups of friends but still being able to remain yourself. I know alot of other highschools are the complete opposite of this, so I feel very lucky.

I was also a really popular kid in highschool (not to toot my own horn or anything), and had a VERY well known reputation for being a "party boy", even amongst the teachers and staff of the school. I think I also had kind of a bad boy/tough guy image lol. I have met/become good friends with quite a few people over the years who told me that before they got to know me, they had been very intimidated by me or thought that I was alot different than I actually was. I wouldn't say that was a good thing though.

I learned alot through my highschool experience though. I never realized until afterwards, but I think I cared way too much about my image and about being "Mr. Cool", that I lost sight of what alot of the truly important things. Because I've been out of highschool for a few years now, have hardly kept in touch with many people from back then, and my life is completely different than I could ever have imagined. I also really regret not focusing on my school work as much as I should have, something that I did not really care about at the time.

and all the girls think they're better than everyone else and blahblhab

 

We have a few chinese students that moved here recently ( Why in the world someone would move to Kansas is beyond me ) and they're pretty nice. Extremely shy, very intelligent, and dont have too many friends. Everyone seems to like them, and be nice to them though. No one really has anything against them.

 

I take myself as one of those kids who know just about everybody in my house (Block Schedule), but only hang around with two different groups. I have the title "Marine" in school due to my current enlistment in the Marine Corp.

 

Never really thought about it. I mostly kept to a small group, or to myself

 

I was a weird guy in high school, listened to death metal and some people thought I'm a serial killer but I had lots of friends regardless

 

Cliques aren't really existent in my school (Being an international English does that.) If I had to label my self and friends though it would probably be preppy, but it's a lot different then the standard preppy. Kinda hard to explain. :/

 

i was that kid with straight hair, tight jeans, and stretched lobes. lol. lots of girls really liked me, and it felt amazing to blow them off becuase of my gf of 2 years. most of them were slutty anyways, lolol. my school is shit, all preppy fucks that think they're the shit, some of which are cool with me. i was pretty known, and still am because of my girl still going there.. i hated high school itself, but i loved the social aspect. i miss it too, lol.

I hung out with preps, jocks, stoners all the like didn't really have a social clique that I only fit into.

I was known as the stoner kid who was devious as fuck

 

I was friends with everybody from all sorts of "cliques" until senior year where I hung out mostly with the stoners lol.

 

I went to 3 different schools in high school and I never really considered myself a part of any clique in either of them. I hung around with all sorts of people. Everyone just knew I did a lot of drugs.

This, people's endless obsession with wanting to fit in puzzles me...
