Lady Gaga: "I want to make the album of the decade."

I'm sorry, but how is she going to do that?
Hire a bunch of real musicians and NOT appear on the album itself?

She seems really obsessed with herself and trying to get big. It's sad because she actually stole her image and style off someone who eventually killed themself after Gaga got signed. And yeah, I'd like to see your source out of curiousity.

Of the Decade? That's a bold statement. You can be good, but no one's going to give a shit about your album 2 or 3 years later.

 

Lady Gaga is actually extremely talented, if you look up her works pre-fame you'll see what I'm talking about.

 

She's always over the top, thats just who she is. I honestly wouldn't expect any less for her upcoming album though. I know it won't be of the decade, but its going to be fantastic. Yes, I'm obsessed with her and yes I'm counting down the hours until her debut single release. (5 an a half hours to go)

Just like with Bieber and Jonas Brothers, Only reason they are still around is because the trolls started to spread them and in the end some young girls actually liked them.

All they are is 1-day flies that have so far lasted a week.

After hearing today on the radio "Born this way" apparently she is claiming it's the song of our generation... fuck that!

Decade might be aiming to high...however, I do see her new album going far.

 

You know, I bet a lot of people said that kinda shit about Micheal Jackson, until he released Thriller, which was arguably the album of the decade. I mean, if you think about it, the same kind of thing is happening, aside from the fact Jackson was a child star.

Lady Gaga has had some pretty catchy and successful pop song released already gaining her a lot of fame, Micheal Jackson had some pretty catchy pop songs and a lot of fame before Thriller was released. Both artists are wildly talented, and really "out there" people. Yeah, it's probably just a coincidence, but it's an interesting thought.

That said, I doubt her new album will be the "album of the decade" but it'll probably be damn good.

 

As a person who has studied in music for 10 years, I actually respect her work. There are a lot of elements in her music that most pop artists simply do not do. I usually can't listen to pop music for more than a few songs, but hers are always fine with me.

 

Lol first time i ever heard lady gaga i thought oh catchy beat nothing special. My mind changed after seeing the creativity she had put into the videos and the experiences she shared on some interviews that were on TV. She didn't seem crazy as everyone says she is, i just think everyone misinterprets the things she does and just call her a freak. Its originality and art and shes making money with the talent she does have. I dont care if she says that its not like you need to have a big debate over that lol its just ego and i wouldn't be surprised at her making a statement like that she is one of the biggest artists out right now. Aint a big fan of her recent music not hating.

 

Same. I've also studied music for around the same time. RedOne is legitimately one of the best producers I have ever heard. He's pretty much the reason why GaGa sounds so distinctive and catchy. He really knows his way around the time signature.

Alternatively, I don't particularly care for GaGa's "over-the-top"ness. It is just so fake and annoying. She tries really hard to be someone that she is not, just look at GaGa whilst in Germany. Shame she doesn't feel comfortable enough as herself.

I think it's plausible that she can make "The best album of the decade." but she would simply have to put out 3-Love Games, 4-Alejandros, and 2-Just Dance's to keep us entertained. All-in-all, production wise she is set so long as she stays with RedOne. Performance wise she is set so long as she stays somewhat clean and doesn't push it all away with drabbed out coke-songs.

@GaGa; Good luck with that, I don't really like her music, she thinks she's special but all she really is is an attention whore.

 

Her first single from the album did get to Number one in 21 countries in 24 hours, just saying. But I don't think it will be the album of the decade, no.

 

Best album of the decade? No.

Most popular? Perhaps.

She can sing, but everyone hates her because she just wants to be talked about constantly. Fame hungry.
