Which movies deserves a sequel?

So then list the 10% you'd think would make a good sequel

@kabal, to list a few, Harry Potter (my favorite was #4), lord of the rings (favorite; #3), Dark knight's sequel will be amazing I'm betting, Planet of the Apes (which is actually a prequel, but same difference), and Terminator 2 (I think someone mentioned, I agree)

I can't count Harry Potter/lord of the rings etc as they aren't really sequels they are part of a continuum and aren't really independent of one another. Also Planet of the Apes? Are you talking about the new movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes?


Also on a side note, does anyone else hate when they make sequels that don't have any of the original actors. They basically just steal the name and make whatever they want. American Pyscho 2, Hollowman 2, American pie movies after 3 etc

Yeah, it's a tad annoying. That's why I love Peter Jackson (LoTR) - he's such a perfectionist when it comes to casting.
He had Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) walk around for two-three months (I forget) with a toy sword, so it looked natural on screen. Dedicated as hell.

p.s American Psycho was a pretty bad book port. The book is amazing. Christian Bale plays a perfect Patrick Bateman though. The only scene that really captured the book well, was the scene with the business cards.

In my own personal opinion I think sequel ruin movies more than progress the story etc.

If I had to pick a film to receive a sequel it would most defiantly be something like Goodfellas or Casino.

Even though it would be physically impossible the films are so enticing and simply amazing.

Yeah Rise of the Planet of the Apes, also the new StarTrek. It's a Prequel, and it's also AMAZINGGGGGGG :>
