    I'd go with an android tablet personally, more usability in my opinion and much much cheaper.

    Sorry but this is a stupid question. All iPads from the last few years are running the same operating system. It doesn't matter which one you pick. Older = cheaper and newer = faster.

    I'd go with the iPad mini 2 and over. As stated they're all relatively the same. As such, I'd go with an android tablet, surface pro is the works.

    I've got iPad mini and it works well for checking mail and messaging. However, skype on mini iPad sucks, sometimes you don't get messages in time.
