    A good airsoft sniper rifle

    Hey all,
I'm looking for a good airsoft sniper rifle. Prepared to churn out some cash if it has good distance and durability. I will be using it extensively in the field while practicing tracking and concealment. Will also need a good scope.

Any suggestions from you airsofters out there would be great.

I bought a Beretta Airsoft M757 or some shit like that but, I lost interest in airsofts in like 3 days and I sold it, lol.

But, the Beretta shoots like a beast, try it out?

Don't waste your money on one. I have one sitting around that i never use. Then again, i'm a real sniper, and i tend to like to shoot excessively far anyway?

Are you military or civilian? I know youre going to BUD soon but you never know.

I would get a real rifle but my parents wouldnt let me. Then im off to college where i definitely cant have one.

Do you think getting accurate with airsoft guns helps real accuracy? I can hit a mouth sized target at 20 feet about 50% of the time with a TM M9.

My brother has a fully upgraded Maruzen L96 (500 fps). I have an upgraded Classic Army M24 (shooting right at 550). Both look and are badass. Me and him are getting more into gear now a days. MSA MICH-2000 (My favorite piece I own), EAGLE items, London Bridge Trading, American Apparel MARPAT, Fire Retardant Operation Gear (FROG), CRYE Precision, the good stuff.

How far do they shoot? I too bought some surplus Marine milspec marpat and boonie. Thinking about Boots, gloves, and possibly a ghillie.

The L96 shoots about 100 yards accurately (it cost him a little over $1000usd). The M24 shoots just as far but not as accurate. I bought it used for 300 slapped a 6.03 tightbore barrel, a PDI Hopup and a 550 fps spring in it(those are the only upgrades). So one day when I shoot it its gonna shatter the piston or something but those are cheap and I need to upgrade it anyway. As for boots go with Bates Durashocks or Merrell Sawtooth. Stay away from Oakley stuff (yeah it looks badass but its junk). For gloves go with regular flight gloves, Mechanics (white writing on black gloves) or Hatch Tactical Operator #SOG-L200 Gloves.

Depends on your budget. I remember quite awhile ago reading into the KJW M700 gas rifle because I was on a tight budget.

Paired with a DBC tight bore barrel (which I believe is the only company that makes the correct size for it) you have an accurate rifle shooting ~500 fps. Maybe you'd want to use a propane rig with it as well because I hear there are problems with the natural lubrication from green gas with the internals of the rifle. Total you'd be looking at paying ~$300 for a fairly accurate and powerful rifle, of course you'd have to factor in the price of gas, etc.

    On the other note:

Training with any firearm will always help your accuracy in the future but there are too many other things to factor in when going from air soft to using guns. Real firearms fire at a much higher velocity, use ammunition that is much larger, are very loud, have a lot of recoil, etc.

You don't need to buy a firearm to shoot them, look up local shooting ranges, head over with enough money to rent a gun/ammunition of your choice and the hours you plan to stay there and tell the staff that you've never fired a gun before and (most of the time) they won't have a problem helping you out.

Either that, or pay some money to take a course (usually done by NRA instructors and cost a small bit of money).

Gas is not the way to go with rifles/AEGs. They are highly inconsistent. Also do not go with D Boys anything. Get a Madbull barrel or a Prometheus barrel.

Like I said, Dboys is (or was) the only manufacturer that made the specific size for the KJW M700. It is not the same size barrel as other m700's such as the tanaka.

But you are right about the inconsistency in gas rifles, although I had barely any problems with my WE KAC PDW during the winter or the summer. It's simply the fact that barely anything needs to go into the KJW for it to become a 500 fps power house.

Its only 80 dollars. All wood with a black satin finish.
1,200 fps with lead- free pellets. You can hunt with this too.
