    Leaving laptop on 24/7

Is there any potential problems with leaving my laptop on 24/7 to run bots? I've taken the battery out of the laptop to prevent battery life loss, and it's running solely off of wall power. I have a reasonable screen saver setting turned on too.

Should i turn of my laptop/restart it occasionally?

As long as you don't let it overheat you should be fine. Try setting it on a non-insulated surface, like a desktop or counter top. Avoid carpet and blankets like the plague. Also make sure that you set it so that when you close the lid on your laptop the screen turns off, to preserve the life of your screen. Be sure that it's also set (in the power options) so that when you close the lid it doesn't put the laptop to sleep.

Could i just let the screen saver turn on? Or would closing the lid do a better job at preserving screen life?

Well, it's personal preference really. You don't have to close the lid, as long as the screen is off (and not in screen saver mode) then it still performs the same function, but the screen won't be out where it can get damaged. It's just generally safer to leave it lying around with the lid closed imo lol. Don't use a screen saver, it helps but not as much as changing the power options so that the screen physically turns off after you either close the lid or after there has been x amount of minutes of inactivity.

As long as it doesn't overheat, it should be fine.
If your laptop is a heat beast, you might want to attach a cooling fan board thing underneath.

Set that the lid doesn't shut it off under power options, leave it well ventilated and it should be just fine, I've done it :D

i would use a laptop cooler with two fans or remove the battery after it has been charged and let the pc run off of ac power.

    This^^

If you run your laptop for long periods of time with the power cord in and a battery, it's highly possible that you will wreck your battery. By wreck I mean not be able to hold a charge longer than a half hour to an hour. Speaking from experience.
