Elo hell, can you escape it?

Well when I first started playing ranked, on the first day of it, I nearly hit 1400 elo, then after that it was 1 step forward, 2 steps back, to the point where I was about 800 elo, climbed to 1k elo, and now I can't seem to get out of the 900-950 zone. Any tips on getting out?

 

Play champs you're good at, and keep at it. If you cant climb up from that elo, generally means your skill level is at that elo.

 

Not necessarily, it's also possible that you are ridiculously beyond unfortunate. I've lost many, many games where one or two players manage to drag the entire team down by either feeding or making beyond stupid plays. Or what if a team member disconnects? A lot of things could happen that doesn't involve your skill level

Also, as to "climbing out of ELO hell" I have no idea how you managed to lost 500 ELO from 1400, went down to 900, and now can't get yourself back up. Just play a carry mid I guess. I got tired of being in ELO hell too so I just played mid in ranks for an entire day and got myself out

Just because I like to brag by the way, I won 11 out of 13 games that day

 

Well I can carry mid pretty easy, its that I end up playing with people who call mid after me, and they are last pick who insta lock, get countered and lose terribly.

 

Coming from a player who is 2.2k I can say elo hell does not exist. The hardest elo as far as player cooperation and skill fluctuation is 1200 elo because that is where all the new players are. Although elo hell doesnt exist ragers always will I get the same ragers at 2.2k as I do in 800 and they always use the same tactics such as instalocking and going afk if they dont get their way. When you que up for solo que you have the higher chance of getting the better team assuming you truly deserve to gain elo. I wish you the best of luck with climbing !
