How quickly do RWT Buyer Bans get applied?

I recently traded an account for a Discontinued rare in Runescape and I was wondering that if Jagex somehow detected I RWT'd, how quickly would such a ban be applied to my account?

I gave a Green Santa Hat in exchange for the rare so it's not like I received a rare for free or for very little value, but still I'm uncertain and want to know from other people's experiences.

The trade occured nearly 1 day ago and nothing has happened yet so how long before I can start to think that Jagex didn't detect it?

It depends, if your account was flagged you'd be banned within those few minutes, or sometimes Jagex does a sweeping ban where they find a mass RWT'er and then tracks all the people they traded. I would say after the 1 week mark you're safe.

In the past 10 years i've trading, i had no issues at all. But I also know someone who used low amounts of gold and got banned pretty quickly.

I would recommend to choose carefully who you are trading with. Especially while trading on your main IP.

 

So far it's been over 2 weeks since I made the trade and I haven't received any ban or warning yet, so I can probably start to relax since most bans occur in this time period.

There are exceptions like the notorious RWT Ban on OSRS mentioned on Reddit which occurred over 1 month after the purchase, but it's looking like I escaped

I guess I was worried since I traded a level 3 account from a popular supplier but I did compensate by offering an item of a decent value? Perhaps that saved me?
